The first flames of the Civil War engulf the country. Under mysterious circumstances, the six-year-old daughter of a high-ranking German diplomat and the five-year-old son of his Greek maid disappear. Athens is shaken by the double kidnapping.
Lieutenant Nikos Agrafiotis, who has returned to Greece with a new identity and a shattered life, undertakes a mission that will largely determine the course of the Allies' operations in the Mediterranean. However, his plans will be dramatically overturned as he is forced to infiltrate the depths of the Special Security to dismantle traitor networks and solve the children's kidnapping case.
With the help of a woman, Agrafiotis will connect with secret patriotic organizations in Athens, wander through the mountains of the Civil War, and try to remain unscathed within the "nest of evil" to save human lives without losing his soul.
