Description
In March 1413, the leaders of the Order of the Temple were burned alive because they had a different view of the Jesus of History from that of the official Church. Based on the records of their condemnation, modern French researcher Robert Ambelain embarked on a thorough investigation into the texts of Roman-era historians as well as the canonical and apocryphal Gospels, concluding that the true historical figure of Jesus was completely different from how his self-appointed representatives present him. - Jesus was not the son of God but the son of Judas from Gamala, a descendant of the royal line of David. - He was never the only begotten but the firstborn son of a large family of revolutionaries. - He was not born in Bethlehem but in Gamala. - He did not found a new religion but led the revolutionary sect of the Zealots. - He did not preach the kingdom of Heaven but claimed the kingdom of Israel and for this reason, he was persecuted, arrested, and executed by the Romans. All this, along with many more details, is developed in this fascinating book, which after twenty-five years of semi-clandestine circulation in Greece is finally republished in a new improved edition, complete and without arbitrary cuts. It seems that in the end, the Knights of the Order of the Temple knew the truth and paid for it with their lives!
