Inverter welding machine MMA from the manufacturer Helix, where the inverter technology enhances the performance and durability of the machine and helps reduce its weight. The MMA electrode method creates thick and strong welds without needing an external gas supply, making it ideal for welding outside the workshop. It can operate continuously for 6 minutes at 140A before needing to stop to cool down. Therefore, you may need more time to melt thicker wires and make more passes on thick welds due to the low maximum Amps it supports. It is easily portable as it weighs 2.3kg.

The ultimate electric welding does the same job as many more expensive ones and has the advantage of being easier to transport, perhaps it could use slightly longer cables!!
As a beginner in the world of welding but a professional in online shopping, I chose the S-Mini 140 based on reviews. And I wasn't disappointed. It is a reliable device that does what it promises for amateurs like me; I tested it from low to high, that is, from 60-140 amps, and it didn't falter. If only the cables were a bit longer, but the device is fine to carry on your shoulder, after all, it weighs 2.5 kg. I recommend it for anyone who wants to start entering the world of welding.
Very good. Lightweight. Correct arc. Doesn't "stick." Melts even a 3mm electrode. I used it continuously for 6 hours with a 2.5mm galvanized electrode, with perfect results.
Excellent for its price.
Due to its size, it is recommended for continuous welding for a maximum of 20 seconds with a 3-minute break, the electrodes should be new, dry, and preheated to 50 degrees. Every six months, it needs to be opened, blown out with air, and sprayed with silicone spray for electronic boards. Always check the insulation of the wires. The switches should be sprayed with WD40 every 3 months. Keep it out of use inside the packaging to avoid dust accumulation. Only weld in a safe, dry environment always with safety equipment and a second person present. Although it is useful for amateur use, it is a tool for everyone. To summarize the settings and types of welds, here are the details:
1. Horizontal welding:
Electrode 1.5 mm E6013
Current: 40-60 Amperes
Electrode distance: 2-3 mm
Angle: 15-30°
Weld type: Continuous weld, where the electrode moves slowly and continuously along the seam.
2. Vertical welding:
Electrode 1.5 mm E6013
Current: 50-70 Amperes
Electrode distance: 2-3 mm
Angle: 10-15° tilted downwards
Weld type: Continuous or intermittent weld, consisting of small pieces with gaps in between.
3. Inclined welding:
Electrode 2.0 mm E6013
Current: 60-80 Amperes
Electrode distance: 2-4 mm
Angle: 15-30°
Weld type: Zig-zag or circular weld, where the electrode moves in circular or zig-zag motions to cover a wider area.
4. Corner welding (T-Joint):
Electrode 1.5 mm E6013
Current: 50-70 Amperes
Electrode distance: 2-3 mm
Angle: 30-45°
Weld type: Continuous or circular weld, providing stability and strength.
5. Repair welding:
Electrode 2.5 mm E6013
Current: 70-90 Amperes
Electrode distance: 3-4 mm
Angle: 15-20°
Weld type: Intermittent weld, consisting of successive pieces with gaps in between.
There are various types of electrodes used in welding, some of the most common include:
1. E6010: Mainly used for root welds in pipes and structures requiring high penetration. Characterized by a strong arc and used in all welding positions, especially for pipe construction work.
2. E6011: Similar to E6010 but suitable for use with alternating current (AC) or direct current (DC). Widely used for welding in structures that involve rust or paint, such as agricultural machinery and automotive repairs.
3. E6013: One of the most popular electrodes for general use and repairs. Mainly used for welding thinner metals, such as mild steel. Provides a good appearance of the seam and is easy to use.
4. E7018: Offers high strength in welding and is used in heavy construction projects, such as bridges, building frames, and pressure vessels. Produces strong and smooth seams and requires good storage to avoid moisture.
5. E7024: Mainly used in horizontal and flat welding positions and provides high welding speed with very good seam finishing. Suitable for mass production and welding large pieces of metal.
These are some of the most common types of electrodes, each with its own properties for specific applications and types of metals.
The basic electrode usually refers to the E7018 type electrode, which contains a basic (alkaline) coating. This type of electrode is known for the following characteristics:
1. 1. High welding strength: It produces welds with high mechanical strength, making it suitable for heavy construction projects such as bridges, building frames, and pressure vessels.
2. Low hydrogen: E7018 is "low hydrogen," which reduces the risk of cracking due to moisture absorption.
3. Good appearance of the weld: It provides smooth and clean welds with minimal slag, which is easily removed.
4. Use in all positions: It can be used for welding in various positions, such as horizontal, vertical, and overhead.
5. Storage requirements: Because the base electrode is sensitive to moisture, it must be stored in dry conditions or even in special ovens to keep it dry and avoid issues with weld quality.
E7018 is the most common "basic" electrode, and it is ideal for situations where durability and reliability in welding are required.
Hello.
It is very lightweight and convenient. It does not heat up even after extensive use. It has the logic of a portable device so the cable is relatively small. The clamp and the body could be of better quality but for its price it is very good. I am very satisfied. There is no amateur who would not be covered by it.
The tool is great. Without having much experience even though I am not a mechanic, I glued perfectly. I didn't expect it to work so well for the money.
I am going to mention comments about this specific product because it is one of the few on the market that is worth 100%. I have worked with it for up to 4 hours continuously on heavy adhesions. It is the ultimate tool for an amateur and of course for anyone who wants to enter the field of welding.
I am not writing a detailed review, anyone interested can ask me.
No weight at all and small size, you put it on your shoulder and stick it! Until noon, it sticks solidly with a diameter of 16mm for fences, with a small break here and there to catch its breath, it didn't notice anything. It's definitely not for professional use, but it literally eats iron
Amazing machine, I bought it and I am satisfied. Now I am learning how to stick things together and it works wonders. I made my first barbecue, okay, some sticking issues, but now I am learning. I give it ten stars
I have bought three!!! One for home, one for the workplace, and one as a gift for a friend in the countryside, where he does "miracles", not only with iron but with various materials. One thing I have to say: buy it with closed eyes. Recently, I also bought three-meter cables and I am a "king", even when I'm not wearing it.
How do women have the bag hanging on their shoulder? Is it the equivalent for men where we can carry it on our shoulder?
The tool really doesn't exist, you hang it on your shoulder and go wherever you want with whatever means you want, however you want.
It doesn't get stuck anywhere, it's a donkey... the only downside is the short cables and the small body clamp where you can't bite it on thick and chunky samples (logical for the size of the machine), you can change these with very little cost.
The evaluation concerns private-amateur use.
Although I read that professionals exploit it for difficult points.
Very heavy welding, only Pyrrhus Dimas can lift it.
The machine is fine and sticks well and is light like a game. For its price, it is a wonderful machine.
Compared to a larger inverter I have from Einhell, the Helix is a bit troublesome as the electrode sticks at the beginning. While with the Einhell, I am completely satisfied (it welds very smoothly and with detail), it is just a little heavy
It doesn't fill your eye at all, you think it's a game until you start sticking, but your opinion changes radically about it, it has done a lot of work without creating the slightest problem, I stick with the 2.5 electrode
I had it for a year and used it twice for big jobs. It is generally a good welding machine for its price, but only suitable for small tasks and purely amateur use. It has short cables, the grounding is useless, it doesn't hold up well, and it broke after a few uses. The burners wore out almost immediately, resulting in loose cables and erratic arcs during prolonged use. Opening it up reveals poor quality on the inside, with no insulation whatsoever. It burned out over time. I believe it served its purpose, but next time I will prefer to spend a little more and get a higher quality machine. This one is only good for minor tasks at most.
The best in its category. That's what the comments say. I got hooked for the first time and built a whole cage 4 X 2.30. If it had a longer cable, it would be amazing.
It has short cables but ok.. it sucks my blood almost daily at work, it hasn't failed yet! For extreme climbing or any stunt work, I have it and use it as a small bag on my shoulder due to its small size!
I have had it for a week for amateur use and the machine "performs excellently". I bought it for 57 euros from an online offer and I can say that it was worth more. Ideal for an amateur or for small-scale professional use, but not for a craftsman who works with metal constructions all day. It can handle thick iron and work all day, of course. In combination with a good automatic mask, gloves, as well as the right clothing and shoes, you can recover the cost after 2-3 small jobs. It comes with a 2-year warranty. I don't know how long it will last, but I think that if I don't push it too hard - by paying attention to the machine's performance values (60%/140A - 100%/108A) - I won't have a problem. The cables are short, but it's not a problem due to the small volume and weight (2.3kg) - therefore, it is portable.
As a beginner starting to learn from video lessons, this machine is amazing. Without being an expert, I would say it outperforms many other machines. I have drilled through concrete walls and anything you can imagine. I have had it for about 2 years and even if you push it to its limits, it still melts anything it finds if you're not careful with what you're doing
I am unfamiliar with adhesives, and with this machine, I managed to glue for fun. I consider the size of the cable that bothers many to be ideal due to the portability of the machine. Because if, for example, you hang it on your shoulder and climb a ladder, a longer cable might be a problem. Of course, I also recommend it, listening to some experts in welding quality. However, what I can definitely see is how easily you can make a weld. The electrode did not stick to me even once. The adjustment of the amps is also precise and immediate. For these reasons, the biggest advantage seems to be the quality-price ratio. It is not a coincidence that it is a top seller at Skroutz, it has the best reviews, and it is also the cheapest. So get up from sofas, beds...
For amateurs and relatively inexperienced individuals, it is flawless. I stick without any problems and I am an amateur with all that it entails. I am very satisfied
I have had it for a year, a very reliable machine.. It has endured a lot of stress and has not overheated.. I recommend getting it without hesitation for amateur use..
For amateur use, I am completely satisfied. Small size, lightweight, easy storage, powerful for household tasks, compared to an older technology that I also have, it is night and day difference.
I bought the welding machine out of curiosity, since the comments were incredibly positive from people who have knowledge in the field, so it counts somewhat more. I was pleasantly surprised by the result that the machine gives you, in amateur use of course, you won't go to shipyards to weld a beam, it is way above average, and you have absolutely nothing to envy from other machines of much higher value. You buy it for fun, and in the end, you only deal with it and use it. I highly recommend it.
