Since then, the history of Nike itself changed, Jordan was named NBA Rookie of the Year and continued to have the huge career we all know, the Jordans eventually became collectible (some editions were released on Saturdays so most people wouldn't be working and kids wouldn't miss school) and the status of the shoes changed both on and off the court.
