The game has very good mechanics in gameplay, graphics, and sound, but the story is the weak point of the game as it relied on character traits that did not exist in part 1, such as Joel and Tommy's suspicion which was completely absent in the 2nd part, and there were no useful character traits from Abby, her father (a surgeon who doesn't know the difference between a fungus and a virus). Generally, all the ratings given by sites as the best game, etc., do not align with reality; I consider it overrated from every perspective. The Uncharted 1, 2, 3, 4, and The Last of Us, if you take the games separately, were one-to-one; The Last of Us 2 built on the success of the first and revealed the true intentions of Neil Druckmann as Game Director. I saw the documentary on how they made the game (Grounded II) and the workers who were pressured to create this game, and for its story, it could have been even better (there were also unpaid employees with overtime during the game's creation)
It is one of the best games I have ever held in my hands! It is a masterpiece in every way, I believe those of you who give it one star have not played for more than half an hour and it is completely unfair to the game!!!
The game is a masterpiece. A large part of the audience was offended by the sexual preferences of the protagonists (?) or by the anti-Hollywood plot, but to each their own.
Just like on television, in cinema, and wherever there is a script, when you showcase homosexuality and what that entails, and supposedly diversity, you make a lot of money, you get funded.. I feel very sorry for noutydoc.. it could have been a Greek series..
Other than that, the game is a masterpiece.
Finally, the 5.8 on Metacritic was not random at all... money wasted... how did the sequel of one of the best story-telling games manage to fall to this level, surpassing even...!! The techniques used by the game to make you sympathize with a villain are worse than Blizzard's ideas... I envy all those who didn't see this game in depth and didn't understand these awful techniques and simply enjoyed it...
The game as a game perfect graphics and Gaming. But no relation to the one. Does the protagonist of the first die by luck from a person he saved ?! Starring 2-3 gay women because suddenly Ellie became gay Abby is a female Bodybuilder before the fights has the hands of captain America very normal when you find food with difficulty in a destroyed world ?! Another nonsense, in the story they drink juices ! They do not have enough food clothes technology and they say let's grow cannabis trees. (In one they did not know what the machine was). And the next tragic two women with a child Ellie with her girlfriend. No problem with all this. But do not destroy a Story to fit all the woke things of today. Just make another game with a different title. I was really annoyed by the amount of cheap propaganda they want to pass!
Where to start and where to finish? From the scenario? From the gameplay? From the fact that you think you're playing a game and this game is an incredible experience and not just a game? Incredible scenario and story with beautiful graphics and without the slightest fps drop even on a simple ps4. Those who haven't bought it yet don't know what they're missing. I recommend it 1000% for purchase.
It has some good elements, but after a while it becomes very boring and tedious. It drags on quite a bit in certain parts. Many scenes, like the one with the fish in the aquarium, and I can't remember how many others, could have been left out. Overall, it lacks the pace that the first game had. Very cinematic, thankfully there was a skip option, otherwise the game wouldn't be playable... Disappointment and boredom after a few hours, unfortunately
No relation to the first one. The story is awful and the characters are boring. It seems like the creators cared more about including transgender and homosexual characters in the game than making something better, continuing the story from the first one which was a 9/10 game. The gameplay is very good, offering various choices in battle, and the graphics are very good even on the PS4.
At first, I was very skeptical to buy The Last of Us Part 2 and 1 (I bought them together) but in the end, I loved the games and I was not disappointed with my purchase
The game is amazing, it's worth its money and more. Its story is awesome and the details are indescribably fantastic. I won't even talk about the graphics, they are mind-blowing. It might be the most well-crafted game released for PlayStation. I've had it for 3 years without exaggeration and I haven't gotten bored of it. If you're thinking of buying it, don't hesitate, it's worth every penny. (Don't buy the CD with the Greek translation, this one already has it.)
Recently finished it. A game that leaves a mark, one of those that you remember for your whole life, like one of the best you've ever played. Graphics and gameplay are amazing, but what impressed me the most was the meticulously crafted photography and cinematography-atmosphere it had (maybe the best I've found in a game), as well as its unmatched sound! All these create a unique and original thrilling scenario! The character switching within a spine-chilling storyline with an interesting plot and suspenseful twists also makes it very original. It elevates it even more that I have a weakness for third-person games. A must-play 100-0.
What can one say about this game. Sound, graphics, and gameplay on another level. Its story is the best I have ever seen in a video game. It will finish the game and make you reconsider many of the opinions you had before. Do many of the things we do in our lives really worth it? EPIC. Every GAMER should play it.
Honestly, this game made me fear for the upcoming sequels of my favorite games. Non-existent plot, a story forced to the point of nausea, characters with zero personality that you can't even remember their names when they die, events that happen just for the sake of happening, zero player freedom in terms of choices, almost everything is terrible. The only good thing it had was the graphics and gameplay, which are truly a visual delight in some scenes.
It is the first time I am writing a review for a game, and I have played hundreds of games. I consider both the first and second part of The Last of Us to be possibly the best game I have ever played. A masterpiece that I'm not sure will be released again and when such a title will come out.
The game is very good, although the story is very long (20+ hours) you never get bored. It is much more intense and scary than the first game. The graphics are top-notch, the gore physics are very realistic, and there are several different animations depending on how you kill the other person. It was quite depressing. I highly recommend it
I have to say the following. With this game, the author and the company dared to do something that I think has never been done in a game before.
And what is that?
The game wants the player to truly feel responsible for their actions. To feel like they are part of this story. Everything in the story has been designed with this mindset - you take control of the protagonist and the two antagonists, driven by their thirst for revenge, a revenge that causes destruction in their world, the death of their friends, and leads them to loneliness.
Even the battles in the game have never been portrayed more realistically in any other title. The screams of the dying that you have just shot, the cries of fear, the fact that they call each other by their little names... The extremely realistic depiction of violence and slaughter that literally makes your stomach turn. Truly, all of this gives a new dimension to the category of video games.
And of course, all of this is presented technically flawlessly, with the graphics and sound being at top levels.
As for gameplay, it is impeccable. The mix of stealth features with battles against humans or infected could hardly be better. Just be prepared for a very... heavy experience. As a story.
The best game I've played on the PS4. We're talking about the best game of all time. Forget GTA and RDR2. It's mind-blowing. The devs simply gave it their soul. I don't know how much they're paid, but they deserve much more for such a game they created. I would easily pay double or triple! It has amazing gameplay, perfect controls, graphics from another planet, a perfect story, and excellent sound. It's simply a masterpiece. Get it with your eyes closed. How much does it cost? 20 euros?! It should be priced at 200...

The ultimate game, if part I was a good zombie game with somewhat indifferent characters, here you really get into the story and their psychology and you can't help but love both conflicting characters. The graphics are like watching a movie, excellent dubbing and sound! We want more games like this
Amazing game. Personally, for me, it is one of the best games I have played on the PS, along with the first one. The atmosphere and experience you live in The Last of Us cannot be compared to any other. So, the second one not only took the story and continued it, but also raised the bar in terms of graphics and gameplay. The reviews and behind-the-scenes regarding the evolution of the story and the uproar of some fans about how they wanted the story to be, leave me indifferent because I don't care. This is the game and this is the story the creators chose, so I only evaluate that!
Comparatively to the first one, the story was so bad that I got bored and abandoned it for a long time. However, the graphics, sounds, and landscapes were top-notch, but that's about it.

I really have no idea why everyone here is praising it, the story is the worst thing in Fiction and it presents itself as some kind of epic. I have nothing bad to say about the gameplay. It annoys me that Greek gamers are behind and can't understand that this game is not an "Epic & Masterpiece".
The best game, along with the first part, that has ever been released! There are other exceptional games, BUT the feelings you experience when playing it, the alternation with the identification of the characters, the unique atmosphere, the incredible story, the deep scenario, the characters, the graphics, the sound, all of these together contribute to the characterization of the best game EVER!... Start with the first part in which this EPIC was created. There is no second thought, it is played YESTERDAY!
5 stars is the best game that has come out, simply if you have the first one it's worth getting the second one in full, if you don't have any, get the remastered first and then this game is worth it!!!!!
So I finished it the day before yesterday and I have to say the following. I should mention that I am relatively new to gaming on the new platforms after almost 10 years of absence, and I first played Uncharted 2 on the PS4, which blew my mind. So, after falling in love with that game series, I decided to try the first Last of Us out of curiosity to see what all the fuss was about. The first time I played it, I got bored after 1.5 hours because I found it too slow compared to Uncharted, and I didn't like the exclusive stealth aspect. How wrong I was. I gave it a second chance and I can say that I loved it, especially the story and the overall atmosphere. So, quickly after a few days, I rushed to get the second part. In terms of graphics, it's top-notch. The gameplay is pretty much the same with some additions (I was a bit bothered by the 360-degree camera when fighting because I would lose focus). As for the game's "political correctness" that is mentioned, personally, I don't care about it at all. I focused on enjoying the game. Yes, the ending was indeed heartbreaking, I would say that it's not like the first one and it lacks that "atmospheric" feeling that the first one had, although it was more raw and violent. It was more of a game about shooting humans than zombies. It was, in general, more human-centered in all aspects. I would say that it's unlikely for such a series to come out again in the way it was executed, and I believe that for most people, the first one will be more unforgettable. That was a story, a movie, the rest of the games are...video games (with very few exceptions, of course). If you have played the first one, play this one too without seeing any spoilers, and you will draw your own conclusions not only about the game as a story but also about how far gaming technology can go and how realistically something that a person has in their mind can be implemented, and how much more you identify with a game character as the years go by.
The first game I bought for Ps5... I had played the 1 before but this is something else... awesome story, flawless gameplay with excellent mechanics... I haven't finished it yet, I'm probably close, but so far it's the best I've played..
10 stars.. it is a game that, as many say, either you will love it or you will hate it.. personally, I didn't mind the "gay" storyline because that's all they have to say and it didn't bother me because its story is truly incredible.. it takes you to another world and that is a success for a game.. thank you very much and we are looking forward to the 3rd one.
The first part fell into my hands during the PS3 era. An incredible game that played perfectly on the aging PS3 and offered one of the toughest but most beautiful stories that the gaming industry had offered up until then. It put you in the shoes of the protagonists and you truly lived the game. You bled with them, fought alongside them, and became one with them. Both technically and in terms of the story, the game was fantastic. It didn't receive over 200 awards for nothing.
I got the PS4 when it came out bundled with the remastered version of the game, and I played it again, of course, with slightly improved graphics. Even though I knew the story, I still enjoyed it just as much.
But what can you tell us about the first part in a review for the second part of the story? Inevitably, when something is so good from the start and its sequel is announced, the question arises of how good that sequel can be. I had this question as well. How can you take such a rich and complete story one step further?
So, the second part of the story came along and it followed in the footsteps of the first. And it did so at the end of the PS4 generation, running incredibly smoothly without the slightest hitch or glitch, and once again giving us an incredible story!
Technically, the game is incredible. No one can dispute that. It ran on the first PS4 without any lag or glitches. Its music, graphics, design, accessibility options, the number of choices, and the performances of the actors were truly amazing! Sony Hellas did a great job with the translation and dubbing as well.
But let's talk about the story of the game, the part that divided players and the reason it received so many negative reviews! You either love it or hate it, but to say that it's bad because you didn't like the way the story unfolded is not a valid argument. It's not even an argument. The game is incredibly brutal, raw, and mature! I finished it a few days ago and I can't believe I'm saying this, but yes, it's better than the first game. It's a wild and harsh ride. An experience you will never forget. No other game has achieved such a level of emotional impact so far. To hit the enemy and feel like you're holding the pipe that the protagonist is holding. To see the protagonist get hurt and feel the pain yourself. And in the end, not knowing whose side to choose. Who is the good guy and who is the bad guy after all? There is no good and bad. There is us and them. There is your death and my life. The story of the second part takes things to a whole new level and doesn't hold the gamer's hand to give them what they expect and will please them. It shows them the simple, raw, and harsh reality!
In my opinion, the game is a progressive masterpiece. That's why it's so controversial. I think many people hated it because they didn't truly understand it. They hated it because the first part was so good at creating strong bonds with the protagonists that in the second part, when you see the story from a different perspective, it alienates you. From the other side. In the first game, Joel and Ellie were the good guys of the story... from their perspective. But were they the bad guys for others? If in the first part, you played the story of Abby (a co-protagonist of the second part) with her father and they were the good guys, then automatically Joel and Ellie become the bad guys! (?) Very common phrase but like all coins have 2 sides, so does the story of The Last of Us.
It is completely unfair and selfish to give this masterpiece a negative rating. Truly. The game offers you a fantastic and unprecedented experience. An experience that every gamer must live. The Last of Us has set the bar so high that I really wonder how an equal or better game can come out after this.
Anyone who hasn't played it can't imagine what they're missing. A unique experience.
No matter what you have read about the game, no matter what spoilers you have heard, give the humble €20 and get the game. Essentially, at this price, it's like a gift.
Just play it and live this unforgettable experience.
