Description
"The candlestick method" is a powerful tool of Technical Analysis and is applied with great success in short-term trading in the markets of stocks, derivatives, bonds, and commodities.
Developed in Japan since the 18th century, the "candlestick method" is the eastern "version" of Technical Analysis. Gradually, it was studied by Western technical analysts and during the 1980s and 1990s, it became particularly popular in the USA and Europe.
The method is based on the logic of trends and uses very illustrative charts, which help in better and more objective market monitoring and in the daily assessment of the buyer-seller battle. It also helps in better sensing price movements and in the more immediate perception of bullishness, bearishness, momentum, and the inclination for trend reversal or continuation.
