Personally, I did not encounter any difficulties.
Very easy installation, fast printing, flawless scanning, connects without any problems to wifi, perfect for a simple home use printer.
Big hassle the connection of the multifunction printer.
Whoever wants to never deal with the printer again, let it be Brothers and be done with it.
Stay away from this junk, 30 €
I've had it for two weeks. It connected immediately, prints just fine, and is worth the money. One of the selection criteria was the refillable ink cartridges
There is no worse machine than this; with only 10 pages, it tells me that the inks are finished, which are still half full. I never managed to figure out the WiFi, and clearly, I am forced to buy another one
Prefer an HP at 35-45€ instead of this machine. Waste of money. Very difficult to install and very slow. The Canon application has minimal functions with an outdated style. Maximum scanning quality is 600dpi while even cheaper HP printers offer 1200dpi. The ink cartridges are also very expensive. Not worth its price. Avoid it.
I will paint it blue and throw it in the sea! 1 hour for installation, so it remembers to connect to the mobile phone or laptop, disconnects regularly in general if you like adventure, get it. As for print quality and photo and document it does well but still I would prefer Gutenberg's plates over this crap, I give it 1 star as my first printer and I have no experience like virgins one thing!!!
If you're tired of going to a bookstore to make photocopies, here you are. For 45 euros, it's very complete for your home. I had a 260 euro HP printer, the print head broke after 3 years, and goodbye. Never again with an expensive one. You keep it for 2 years because of the warranty, and then you get another one for 45 euros.
I'm coming back. Don't buy it because: after a month, the WiFi wasn't working. This was due to a lack of upgrade from Canon. Luckily, they gave me my money back in the form of a wallet so I could buy something else. It's ultimately a waste of money. It's just a piece of garbage that you will put in your home.
The instructions from Canon for connecting to WiFi or a device through the Canon Print application are completely useless. I spent days searching online and talking to Canon support, but they couldn't help me. Eventually, with the help of a review, I found the following video that connects to the router via WPS, which is a 2-minute process...
For those who need the video, here it is:

Other than that, the build quality and print quality are fine. It's worth the money, but the ink prices are high, so it may only be useful for home use.
I got it for home use! Very easy to use even though I'm not familiar with technology... I downloaded the app and started printing directly, I find it super!
I have it installed via WiFi (wireless, that is) on Linux Mint and it works great.
After 24 max color quality prints, its inks are almost empty (the company obviously makes money from the inks and not from the printers, and the initial inks are usually few).
Perfect for home use. Personally, I got it to make colored cards for tabletop games (using this paper: Canon SG-201 Photo Paper Plus) and they turned out very good.
Stay away. This is my advice. In the screen, words do not appear, only codes. For example, when you want to align the head, you have to press a button so many times until the number 4 appears on the screen. To learn these encoded functions, you obviously have to refer to the manual. And the manual is a poorly written online guide, full of links to other chapters of the manual or gifs, and explanatory notes that only add to the user's confusion. In general, everything, like connecting to a network, is done in a "closed" way that doesn't let you understand what you're doing. It tells you "do this and then that." If it works, great. If not, God help you. As a printer, it's not even worth 5 euros. But as a spaceship, it's a bargain.
The installation was not done from the CD in the package but from the website with the link provided in its brochure. I followed all the steps and it didn't give me any trouble at all. The connection was easily made via WIFI, using the connection tool downloaded by following the steps on the installation website. Everything works wirelessly perfectly, and both printing and scanning gave very good results, regardless of the price. I didn't like the scanning software of CANON, I use the free NAPS2 which provides greater flexibility and multi-page scanning. A perfect purchase for such a low price. My mobile also immediately recognized the new WIFI printer, easily finding it on the home network without any extra drivers.
We have it and we say it! I don't know why some people like it, but I, who wanted to replace my trouble-free HP because I believed that Canon is generally more advanced, was disappointed!
Where do I start?
Printing is barely visible, installation is a nightmare to find any software, and in the end, I see you using Windows Scan. Oh, and of course, the installation comes with a CD in the year 2023. Printing is fast, but when the prints come out faded, especially the scanned ones, what am I supposed to do? Also, let's not even talk about the ink price. To change the cartridge, you need to pay as much as you bought the printer... Extremely bad choice!
It's great for the money, I won't dwell on that at all. With 30 euros and if it lasts six months, that would be good. Since it was connected, everything has been fine, but it took me a lot of time to connect it because the instructions are simply wrong. As soon as I searched on YouTube and clicked on the first video I found, the issue was resolved in literally one minute. What the guy in the video did was nowhere in their instructions. I'm leaving it below for the convenience of others:

edit: A year later and it's still working great (not daily use of course, but the inks haven't dried out or anything). VFM
Good machine for its price. Replaced a 12-year-old hp. Good printing in both black and white and color, fast and relatively quiet. The accompanying manual should have clearer instructions regarding wifi connection. The manual from the canon website is lengthy and requires searching. To easily connect it to your wifi, simply press the WPS button that all routers have and it will be ready in 2 minutes.
Negatives:
1. There should have been a USB cable included in the package, even if it costs 1-2 euros, so you can connect it directly to a PC without wifi.
2. Not such an easy connection with wifi.
For now, no problem. Immediate and easy connectivity with android mobile, iPhone, tablet, and computer. Relatively fast and quiet printing. It comes with ink, although I used the old ones I had from an old Canon printer that I had for many years. Overall, very satisfied with it, which is why I chose a model from this company again. An economical solution for home use.
For the price, it's great. I use it to print receipts, recipes, etc., just simple things and it does them perfectly. I haven't managed to print via Bluetooth yet, but I'm sure it's something I'm not doing right.
A classic Canon all-in-one printer, it prints both documents and photos in good quality. The scanning is also commendable.
The only negative aspect is the slightly complicated WiFi setup. In older models, it only required a click on the WPS button, but now it requires a whole process (which may be difficult for some during installation).
Other than that, it is a commendable all-in-one printer
Once I had bought a Canon and had problems... After 10 years with HP (it broke after 10 years), I decided to give Canon another chance... Wrongly!!! I printed 10-15 pages and the machine broke down. It won't take any paper. I did all the necessary actions as stated in the manufacturer's manual but nothing. The only option left is to send it to the nearest service... I will throw it in the trash and never buy Canon again! I mean, it's cheap but it should last at least a year (the work it does for me is very light), not say goodbye after 15 pages. It's a waste of money, no matter how little it is.
After the initial installation and connection, we had issues with the ink cartridges. Besides printing slowly, it wouldn't recognize non-official cartridges and only worked with ones from the printer manufacturer. If we left it unused for a while, the ink would dry out and even with a full cartridge, it was useless. Essentially, they are selling a product that is cheap but causes many problems, and through these problems, they make money (think expensive ink, high repair costs). I do not recommend it. It is much more worthwhile to invest in a simple black and white laser printer at double the price, but one that does its job reliably over time without extra unnecessary expenses and hassle.
The wireless connection delays the printing process. In the first two print requests I made (3 pages), it printed the 1st and the 3rd. The next working day, it displayed an error that I cannot find anywhere on the web. I suggest looking into something else.
Often loses connection, needs to be closed and reopened to unlock.. Wireless communication is easy to achieve today, I don't know why the printer has so many glitches.
