We got a second one to give as a gift. It is very good for its price. The battery lasts for 4 haircuts and the beard as well. It is fully washable.
Its larger combs have very sparse teeth and unfortunately leave lines. Other than that, it's a very good machine.

very good machine if you want for beard especially many levels to choose from until you find the length...as far as the head is concerned it didn't drive me crazy..at the level I have my hair almost bald it doesn't do a good pass it kind of hurts too I can say...now for longer hair I have no image..

Yes, very good indeed, as the other reviewers say, but don't forget. Its primary use is for hair, not for beards. You can shave beards too, you have to adjust the length to 2mm, then with another attachment from 3mm to 15mm in 1mm increments. The problem is the width of the blade, it is too large and makes trimming a tiring task. We won't even discuss details.
I bought it for my beard and chest. It's excellent. It's fast, doesn't clog, and of good quality. I happened to break my leg, and since I would be at home, I decided to try it and trim the sides and back. I thought it would be terrible, but I had nothing to lose. Guys, it trimmed me just like a barber would. I almost erased it because I couldn't believe it. It took everything quickly without any clogging. It is perfect in combination with a foil shaver for zero hair length. I bought it for myself and ordered it as a gift for a friend. It may be the most value for money in its category. Before, I had a babyliss one for 8 years until it broke. The only thing left to see is its durability over time, but from first impressions, I am satisfied with my investment.

I had a model quite older than this Philips one and until today, 10 years later, if the plastic attachment that adjusts the length didn't break, it would work perfectly. I bought this specific model and from the first use, it seemed like a premium device to me. It cuts much better and with greater precision than the old one, the battery lasts longer than I need for trimming and shaving. Very good result by far.

When you use it without any attachment, sometimes it "pinches/pulls" without applying any particular pressure during use. The middle attachment, when you attach and use it, does not "sit well" and it kind of "creaks" and creates noise during use. I had an older Philips of the same shape/series and I was more satisfied.
