Lightweight camping tent for 2 people, particularly useful for cyclists and hikers who need a small tent in their camping gear with excellent waterproof protection and minimal weight. With a packaging size of only 16 x 35 cm, this small tent fits comfortably in your backpack or bike bags. All fabrics of the Sintesi 2 tent (fabric, floor) have undergone special treatment with a flame retardant that slows their spread if they accidentally fall on the tent.

What does the 50D ripstop feature mean?

Ripstop means "tear resistance"

Ripstop gives the fabric increased resistance to tears and stresses. During the fabric's construction, thicker fibers are interwoven approximately every 5-8 mm in a horizontal and vertical arrangement. This improves the fabric's durability and prevents any tears or holes from spreading and becoming larger.

What does the waterproof rating on camping tents indicate?

Waterproofing in a tent indicates how much water the outer fabric can repel. It is measured in millimeters (mm) and refers to how many millimeters of a vertical water column (and thus pressure) a square centimeter of fabric can withstand without being penetrated by water.

The higher the degree of waterproofing, the less breathable the fabric is, and therefore the warmer the tent. Common waterproofing values range from 500mm to 10000mm. Theoretically, any fabric with waterproofing >1000mm is considered waterproof. For example, a summer tent may have waterproofing from 500 to 1500mm.
