Even though the cream claims to be moisturizing, I would also describe it as firming and lifting. It worked so well on my skin and achieved what even the most expensive creams couldn't. I think now that I've found it, I won't let it go. At most, I will buy an evening one with all the previous characteristics of Avene, which I am confident will not cause sudden breakouts.

Having purchased this cream-gel for the third time now, I recommend it for oily/combination skin like mine. I believe it can suit all skin types. Very lightweight and great for summer when we want something lighter. It moisturizes and refreshes (slightly soothes) but it is clearly for hydration. I also like that I can use it around my eyes and the next day my eyes look awake and very hydrated. I have seborrheic dermatitis and psoriasis on my face and the aqua-gel is enough to quench my dehydrated sensitive skin without causing acne or any other sensitivity on my face. I apply it in the morning with sunscreen and at night with a regenerating cream and my skin is grateful. Due to its composition, its shelf life is 6 months from opening, but anyway I finish the approximately 100ml in about 3 months due to the increased demands of my skin.

My face is like the Sahara desert and no matter what cream I apply, it stings and doesn't work. This specific one is the only one that absorbs immediately, without any stinging, and quenches my skin. In order to lock in the moisture, I use another cream with an oily base on top (embryolisse). With this combination, my skin looks vibrant and firm, and no one can tell that otherwise I would look like a mummy.

It is one of the few moisturizers that doesn't cause breakouts for me. It is lightweight and doesn't clog pores. My skin is dry, sensitive, and prone to acne.

It has everything, nice feeling, hydration, doesn't shine BUT last year when I tried it, it gave me small pimples and I didn't continue using it. It's worth trying with a sample though, because I suppose it won't cause pimples for everyone. I will try it again and come back.

Moderately dehydrated combination skin. Nice moisturizer, multi-purpose (can be used as a day cream, night cream, and mask as stated on the packaging). It is essentially a gel, so it requires a small amount, absorbs easily, does not leave a shine or heavy feeling, I would say it is neutral. The hydration is good, not perfect, it has not caused any issues for me (breakouts or irritation) and due to the affordable price, if I couldn't find something better, I would definitely buy it again! Overall, I trust Avene and I am satisfied with their other products as well.

Terrible, don't buy it. I have mature skin (50 years old), combination type. It makes my skin very shiny, the shine just won't go away. I regret putting it on every time, so much. From the first time I used it, I was looking to buy another one, it really annoyed me. Now I have to wear it reluctantly because my other one ran out, until the new one arrives, so that my skin doesn't stay like this, but it still frustrates me. You can't be shiny all day... Enough, seriously! That's why I decided to say it, maybe it will save someone else...

Good moisturizer, you don't have to wait for an incredible result, without this meaning that it will disappoint you. For a simple acne-free skin, which is combination to dry, it does its job well. If you don't have high demands for your skin, it is quite good!

I have combination skin prone to acne, and the review is about the Hydrance aqua gel for all skin types. The cream is perfect, but you need to use the appropriate amount and apply it on a clean face (it has instructions). In the morning, a small amount on the face and eyes, it has a lightweight texture (similar to serums) and absorbs quickly. You immediately feel hydrated on the skin and it has the amazing classic scent of Avene. It is not matte, but in no way is it greasy. It is also a very good base for makeup. At night, I use it over the serum from the same brand for pores, imperfections, and acne, in a generous amount this time. In the morning, the results are amazing, the skin is soft and moisturized. I tried it alone and also in combination with acne-fighting products, and it did not cause any problems for me. The price is very good since you only need a small amount for the eyes and face, and the quantity is 100 ml.

It is also used as a moisturizing mask at night. And it does what it promises. For the morning, it requires a very small amount to be able to work. I will note that I did not know that it contains silicone (dimethicone). Personally, it does not work badly for me, but I do not understand the reason for its existence since it is intended for use as a care mask. Silicone creates an impression that the skin is smooth without necessarily having the corresponding real result. We want this in primers..., not in masks. Nevertheless, I do not consider it a bad product and I like its texture and scent.

In my opinion, this is a very good moisturizer for dry skin, even for those with acne-prone skin! It has a scent that personally doesn't bother me. It has a very dewy result, so if you're not a "fan" of that glow, I wouldn't recommend it. I had oily skin and now it is dry due to acne treatment, and I still use it! It really provides excellent hydration and the skin glows, without leaving a greasy feeling. It also layers very well with sunscreen and makeup. For its quantity, the price is better than all other creams.

Very good cream, I have been using it for about a week now. Just in the morning, you need a small amount because it doesn't absorb very quickly. However, it leaves a nice feeling with intense hydration.
