My teenage daughter uses it and it has really helped with her acne. The pimples haven't completely disappeared, but they have significantly reduced and the appearance of her skin has improved. It is no longer red and irritated.
For closed comedones that I had on my forehead in my skin tone, not only did I not see any improvement but they multiplied. I applied it morning and night only on my forehead and nose for a month. In the morning, I also applied sunscreen on top of it, even though it said to use the product alone, but I don't think that was the problem because I have freckles. It's a shame because I really appreciate Avene as a brand in all its ranges.
Unfortunately, it contains alcohol which means it dehydrates the skin instead of moisturizing it. I hadn't thought to check the ingredients. I realized it when I opened it where it smells strongly of alcohol.
The product was recommended to me by a dermatologist as a morning cream for combating acne. It is not greasy at all, absorbs immediately, and leaves no traces. The only downside is that I can't see when it runs out because the packaging is opaque
I don't know if it will ultimately do the job for which I bought it, but on the third day of use today, it has caused me very intense itching on the existing pimples!
Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. Every time I use it, I get 5 times more pimples and my skin gets even worse where it could be improved. Maybe this is the treatment... I mean, it removes all the sebum and then you clean it, but I can't fill up so much without them going away. I wouldn't buy it again.
I have been using it for 3 weeks, so I will talk about this brief experience. It was recommended to me by a dermatologist for acne, but because I also have dermatitis on my face all the time, I cannot currently use acne medication on my face, so we went with this. As for the dermatitis, it hasn't bothered me at all, and as for the acne, personally it has helped me. You won't see miracles in a week, but slowly and steadily it eliminates the marks and helps with pores. For now, I haven't had any new breakouts since I started using it, but it should be noted that I am also undergoing antibiotic treatment. In terms of sensation, it is quite light and I can easily apply makeup on top without using anything else. It doesn't require a large amount to work better. I apply it twice a day, except for some days when I need to apply makeup in between, so I use it as a base and I don't know if it's correct, but in the morning after the cream, I also apply sunscreen, but personally it hasn't bothered me anywhere. These are the few things I have to say..
Well, I will start with the cons, which are few but it's just the smell. It smells like gel alcohol, but that lasts only until the cream is applied.
Now let's move on to the pros: from the first use, I saw results. Small ones, but I saw them. I won't say big words, but if something changes, we are here to talk about it.
I have extremely sensitive skin due to lupus, many allergies, and I am postpartum, so you can understand that my face at the moment is like a monkey's... well, I can say I found my cream! I would give it a 9 out of 10, as I would only give a 10 out of 10 to something that makes them disappear immediately.
It did nothing, on any level. It didn't help with pimples or scars, it may have even made the pimples worse. It made my skin dull. It doesn't smell nice, but the problem is that it didn't work.. not the smell..
The only cream that helped with the persistent pimples from prolonged use of a protective mask during the Covid period. It was recommended to me by the pharmacist.
It helped a lot with black spots and redness from pimples on my teenage daughter's nose, without causing acne problems. The result was visible in less than a week
My dermatologist recommended it to me because of my oily skin, with instructions for smooth adaptation of the skin. After 2 days, I started getting pimples and on my own, I decided to increase the quantity and days of application. The result was a rough skin with several small pimples and a feeling of tightness. Fortunately, I contacted my dermatologist again, who saw my skin and understood that the quantity was to blame, and we proceeded accordingly. Conclusion, it is the best cream I have ever used, but only after the supervision of our doctor and never because we read good comments or because we wanted to speed up the result. So, to those who got pimples from this cream, I believe that the quantity is to blame, just like in my case, consult your doctor and do not give up on it, it really is a wonderful product
Amazing cream, it helps a lot with acne-prone skin. In my case, I use it simultaneously with a medicated acne cream and the corresponding cleansing soap from the same line. The results are immediately visible. I will definitely buy it again!
I consider it to be the best face cream I have ever used. I have been using it for 6 months now, it is very lightweight and does not weigh down the skin at all. My dermatologist recommended it to me after I finished my acne treatment and did a cleansing at the end. I recommend it for people with oily skin, I use it every morning and at night I use one for pores and scars.
I have severe acne (black spots, small pimples all over my face, especially on my cheeks, and mild redness). My dermatologist prescribed me a cream with isotretinoin for the night (instead of pills) and in the morning, I have been using this cream from Avene. I have tried many similar creams like Effaclar Duo, which caused me even more problems with acne (severe dryness, large internal pimples, and intense redness on my face that took a week to go away after I stopped using the cream). This specific cream from Avene works wonders, especially when used in combination with the night cream. I have been using it for three weeks now and I have seen a tremendous difference. I would advise you to cleanse your face with an aesthetician or dermatologist before applying the cream in order to achieve desired results as soon as possible
Like all creams, it depends on what suits each person's skin. For me, with combination skin that tends to be dry, it is an excellent choice that I use more for prevention, and after about 2.5 months of use, it consistently works.
It seems to regulate oiliness, an ideal product as a base before makeup.
With just one week of use, there is already a difference in pores, pimples, and imperfections.
It seems to work.
In the comments, I read that many people got pimples in the first few days, IT DOES THAT! This specific product brings out the pimples and then you clean them, very good product!
First of all, we all know that not all creams for pimples are the same. I, being a man, have had a type of acne for a few years now, which is not very serious. So, I tried the Laroz creams and didn't see any results, which doesn't mean that the cream is not good. It just didn't work for my skin and the pimples I had, maybe something else... Then I tried the Avane cream and I really saw a big difference. For me, this cream is good for simple acne, but it also works for black marks! However, you should know that not all pimples are the same. If you go to a dermatologist, they will tell you that you belong to this category, while someone else belongs to another category. So, it's not certain that a certain cream will help everyone. You need to know exactly what problem you have and then take the next step
I liked it quite a bit. It leaves a very light feeling, to the point of pulling you slightly. It works with pimples as long as the problem is not big. Guys, whatever you have, go to the dermatologist, only he knows exactly the needs of your face
It was recommended to me by the dermatologist for the pimples that appeared due to wearing a mask, and it is amazing! From the first month, the difference was noticeable, new pimples stopped appearing and the old ones calmed down. In the first few days, it caused intense tingling, but then it didn't bother me again
An excellent product, from the second application it calmed my entire face despite the acne due to the stress of difficult days. My skin is oily with acne tendencies. It absorbs well, the feeling is natural and its scent as well, like a medicinal product. I am very satisfied obviously and I will choose it again.
I have been using it for 1 week. Initially, I have combination skin and it has helped reduce oiliness, but unfortunately, I haven't seen any difference in my acne. In the last 3 days, it has caused irritation on my face.
The dermatologist recommended it to me to treat acne that appeared due to daily mask use. By applying it every night, after cleansing my face, I have seen a significant difference. The new pimples have noticeably reduced and the existing ones have calmed down a lot. The smell is somewhat strong, but it doesn't matter to me as long as I see results. I have been using it for a month now.
+ It was recommended to me by a pharmacist, due to hormonal acne. It has helped me quite a bit. I have bought it several times again, it calms my face.
- The packaging could be better. It does not have a nice scent.
It made my eyes look like I'm 50+, while I'm actually 34 and supposed to look younger. Obviously, by applying the product, it touched near the cheekbones. One eye underneath turned slightly red and after 6 days, I noticed peeling. (edit ten days later, and even though I use a simple moisturizing/anti-aging Panthenol for face and eyes, dehydration has spread to my nose) I didn't realize that the sudden aging appearance in my eyes (skin thinning, wrinkles, ugly dehydration overall) was caused by this because I happened to have stayed up all night in front of a screen and thought that was the reason!
However, the fact that it continued showed that something is not right.
I realized that it has caused damage from using a new product a bit late, days after I continued to apply only a little bit and only on my cheeks and chin.
On the 6th or 7th day, I noticed the peeling, and when I laugh, it pulls on the area we call "crow's feet." I applied an anti-wrinkle cream of my mother's when I realized it because I didn't have anything else with me, to provide rich hydration. I felt it burning me too. A sign that my skin was intensely irritated.
Otherwise, it smells a bit like alcohol, but okay, if it did the job, it wouldn't bother me.
The sensation as a sensation didn't bother me in the areas where it didn't cause me any problems (cheeks, for example).
I bought it as an alternative to effaclar duo, which I have been faithful to for ten years. I wanted to try something else because my skin has gotten used to it and it started to irritate me.
P.S.: I also experienced dehydration on the skin above my upper lip (the so-called mustache), but it doesn't look as bad as the eyes with visible wrinkles.
Stay away... let's ask for samples first. Otherwise, goodbye
It was recommended to me by an experienced dermatologist to treat a form of acne that doesn't have cysts but small beige pimples that don't pop. Unfortunately, after 1.5 months of consistent daily application, it didn't help at all with my problem. I stopped using it as it was completely ineffective. On the other hand, compared to other similar commercial creams, it has the least toxic ingredients in its composition, and this is an important reason for those who are concerned about what they put on their skin.
