But the instructions say that if you place it under your armpit instead of rectally, then you let it continue measuring and you will get an accurate reading after 10 minutes!

Of course, in practice, usually after 3 minutes it's okay.
However, I repeat, the device itself with the beeping every 10 seconds is misleading.

I believe it's better for someone to spend an extra 5-6 Euros to get something of better quality.

It measures quickly and accurately if placed under the tongue. Compared to mercury. It is not suitable for the armpit.

It is one of the worst thermometers I have tried. Every time you use it, it shows a completely different temperature with a significant difference from the previous one. It beeps randomly even before it finishes measuring. Truly terrible...

As I have understood, all digital thermometers (at least the not very expensive ones) have some deviation from the actual temperatures (mercury ones), for this reason I have not given a very high rating.
