Overall a bad choice.

The manufacturer advertises that it provides a reading in 10''. In small letters it says that this applies to rectal measurement. You think, okay, it will give a higher reading than under the armpit, it doesn't matter. You put it under the armpit and it makes the sound (that a regular thermometer would make when it's done) at 15'' no matter what. You take it out and it says 34.2, 34.5, maybe 34.8. If you leave it for two minutes, it reaches 36. At three minutes, it reaches a somewhat normal value (~0.5 below rectal).

If I have to use my own timer at 3 minutes, I might as well use my grandmother's mercury thermometer. At least it would make a sound when it's supposed to.

Your pharmacist tells you "it measures in 10 seconds" and that's how it's written on the packaging in big letters on the outside. However, when you read the instructions inside, it tells you in very small letters that you have to leave it on your armpit for 2 to 5 minutes to get an accurate measurement. It only shows 10 seconds to give the IMPRESSION that it has supposedly taken the measurement, and if you don't read the instructions, you simply think that it measures WRONG.

It stops without completing the measurement (I don't understand the reason for this!!!), so if you don't know, at least in the beginning, you have the wrong impression. To show the final result, you have to wait several minutes and see that it doesn't increase anymore, as it does not notify! The manufacturer probably got confused!

The measurement at 10" is wrong. I have to take 5-6 consecutive measurements with the thermometer under my armpit to get the temperature. After these 5 to 6 measurements, if there is no deviation between each measurement, then it is the correct temperature.

It's the worst, it doesn't even work for grilling because it changes the cooking temperature by one degree higher or lower. We have someone sick and it says 35.8 but it's actually 37.2, or it says 36.7 but it's actually 38+. Confirmed error of +1-1.5 degrees.

The thermometer claims to measure in 10", which is not true. It gives a reading, but it changes a lot within the first minute. However, it hits 10" to show that it is fast with inaccurate measurement. It mentions this in the manual, but unfortunately, I did not think that I needed to read the manual from the internet before making the purchase.
