The camera in the video is top-notch. 1080p-8bit at 60fps slow-mo, with C-log and ready Lut, you can do coloring in 10 minutes. There is a bit of noise in the blacks (noise is always present with the 24-105 F4 lens), but you can use the magic bullet denoiser at 20, do sharpening at 15, upscale to 4k, and have 90% similar results to any 4k 60fps blackmagic raw or xt-3. What matters is how skilled you are in directing and shooting, and it's not always the camera's fault. Some say the best camera is the one you have in your hands, and they are right.
Since we are all amateurs, if you do proper exposure, you won't have any problems. Not to mention it shoots 4k 10bit with the Atomos. I won't even discuss that I can edit C-log all-I 60fps in Premiere 2019 with a Core i7 6700 without a graphics card! and manage to play the timeline with one lut easily. I won't even discuss how user-friendly it is, how high-quality the RF lenses are, and how accurate the colors are. The xt-3 may have better 4k, but you can't edit on a PC. You need a 3000 euro PC. As for Sony and Nikon, I just laugh at their low bitrates.
If you have the appetite, get a bmpcc6k; otherwise, the EOS R is the way to go to sleep soundly. Jack of all trades and master of some. I won't get involved with Sony, all green and very low bitrate, the colors are terrible, you can't bring the video to life no matter what. Nikon z6 raw is a joke. Also, I don't want to spend 5 days coloring like with Panasonic. Plus, the Panasonic S1 has video issues. That's what they say on the Internet. Also, the XT-3 is APS-C. I want a full-frame look. It has stabilizer, but not the best. Get a Ronin S, don't be stubborn.
I want the best autofocus. Tremendous battery. Tremendous RF lenses. So, I bought the worst camera for video, as the YouTubers say, and I have peace of mind :). I will also buy the RF 35 1.2 when it comes out, and that's the end of the story :)
I don't know about photography. My friend got the Fuji Medium Format :) and he liked some of the photos I took, especially the sharpness. Always with the RF 24-105 lens, guys. If only I had the RF 50 1.2 as well. Check out Dustin Abbott on YouTube, he talks exactly about photography topics. By the way, he also bought the EOS R!
We are not ready for 4k/120fps 10bit internal with autofocus. When that happens in 2025, until then, play ball with upscaled 1080p.
