Enthoo 719 Big-Tower DRGB
For some people, a computer case is just as important as its components. The design makes the computer look even more powerful and efficient. All this is guaranteed by the Phanteks Enthoo 719 DRGB Tempered Glass.
Type: Big-Tower
Design: Mainly made of steel and aluminum, with a tempered glass side panel. The DRGB lighting offers a unique style.
Features:
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
In general, Phanteks tries to compress features from three other cases (Luxe, Evolv, Elite) into one package with the Luxe2. It can accommodate up to 4 coolers simultaneously, including the 86mm thick Alphacool beasts. There is plenty of space, so there is no need to compromise because something doesn't fit (within reason). It can also fit a micro-ATX motherboard in the bottom section of the case if you want to go for a dual system setup. It can support up to 12 HDDs and 3 SSDs, making it suitable for servers as well. The only limit is the user's imagination!
Although there are fixed panels in front of the fans, there is enough clearance for them to work properly, so airflow is not an issue. However, it lacks sound insulation like Fractal Design cases, so choose your fans carefully (as the case comes without them). There are filters everywhere, but they are not the fine mesh type, so fine dust can still enter the interior.
The side tempered glass is supported by hinges, making it easy to open and remove if needed. There is a small window on the other side as well, providing a view of the 3 SSD slots behind the motherboard.
There are 2 d-rgb strips, one inside and one outside the case. The internal one, especially in rainbow effect, pairs nicely with RGB memories, such as G.skill Trident Z.
The fan hub is a welcome addition, but it falls short when the case can accommodate up to 15 fans. Some splitters can solve the problem.
Now, onto the complaints...
There is a lot of plastic on the case, which makes it look cheap compared to the rest of the construction. Perhaps it is due to the minimal design and the lack of branding/technique to break the monotony. I expected something better for the almost 200 euros it asks for, but let's say it's subjective.
Cable management proved to be a bigger challenge than I initially thought, mainly because a larger volume of cables accumulates in the same area. The numerous and thick cables (2xUSB3.0+1xUSB3.1) don't make the situation any easier unless you decide not to connect them.
