This is the second time I am buying this excellent product. You see the difference from the very first application.
amazing product! after a month of daily use, the spots have faded by 80%. they are barely visible and only I can distinguish them because I know them.
I have sensitive skin with rosacea. The product did not cause me irritation. It just requires long-term use in combination with other products like niacinamide and azelaic.
I have a melasma right in the center and on both cheeks. After reading the good reviews, I decided to try this serum. Although I did a 2-day test on the inside of my elbow without any problems, the first time I applied it on my face, I immediately felt an unpleasant "pulling" sensation. Within the next hour, my face turned red and I felt a terrible burning and swelling. I immediately washed it off and threw it away.
It may work for some people with combination skin. However, if you have sensitive and dry skin like me, DO NOT try it. Save yourself the pain.
*update: It took a little over a week for the burning and redness to go away. I first used La Roche-Posay Cicaplast serum and then the same company's 10% Niacinamide serum. Both worked wonders
Very good product. I have been using it for only 5 days along with azelaic acid and I can already see the first results. My face is brighter and my chronic spots have started to fade. I am thrilled!!!
Whatever I say is not enough. With daily use in the areas where you have marks, you will see a crazy difference... it's almost running out, I don't know if I should get another one because a significant part of them disappeared
For treatment, I personally would not recommend it because it will take a long time to see a difference. However, for skin that has intense melanin production and easily develops freckles, spots, etc., even when wearing sunscreen, it is perfect for prevention as it reduces melanin. It is a lightweight serum that I wear every morning under sunscreen. Also, the ascorbic acid + alpha arbutin from The Ordinary is good as well.
I really like The Ordinary products. I have been using them for about 2 months and I have already seen a big difference in my skin. This specific product helps with fading marks, but it takes time and multiple packages. It has a sticky feeling and is not moisturizing, so I use it in combination with a simple moisturizer. No skin care product will bring results within weeks... you have to wait months, maybe even years for more intense problems. Some other products that I love from this company and help with acne are the salicylic acid 2%, niacinamide 10%, granactive retinoid 2% emulsion, and lactic acid 10%.
Very good product, it does what it promises.
