4 stars for 2 reasons: 1) it has a square base 19X19X2 at the top, which means you have to cut the shelf if there isn't already this gap, in order for the hood to "kiss" under the kitchen shelf. 2) The package does not include the pipe piece that nests inside the ventilation pipe that goes above the cabinets to exit outside. Other than that, it's silent, stylish, and has carbon filters.

The appearance is good, although it is not what I wanted in terms of performance. It should have had more power, but for its price, it is acceptable.
