  The watch costs 100€ and has a backlight. I have a Chinese one that costs 11€ and the entire screen lights up with a soft blue-green color, only the screen without the dial... simply terrible. I threw it into the sea the same day and kept the Chinese one.. never again Casio

Maybe it's my wrong impression that can be attributed to it being my first watch. But still, it does what it promises and will last you a long time. I definitely recommend also checking out the solar-charged battery option for even longer duration (GA B2100).

  I bought the GA-2100-1A1ER, which is the one with the black dial and only the hands have luminous material, and that's where the problem starts.

  During the day, everything is fine and dandy, but at night, you can't see the time at all. And if you try to look at it digitally from 03:00 to 06:00, most of the time the hands are in front of the small dial and you can't see anything. And even if you press the two buttons to move the hands away from the center, many times they still hide the dial and it's a struggle in the early morning.

  If the luminous material had a longer duration and was present at the hour markers, then I imagine it would be great, but it's not...

  Other than that, it's beautiful, lightweight, and has plenty of functions.

  I bought it yesterday, my first impression is how lightweight it feels in the hand, of course it is quite sturdy. It is fairly easy to adjust with good readability regarding the dial, I like the negative display stylistically but in practice it is not very convenient, especially now that it is winter and it gets dark early. For an everyday watch, it is worth up to 110 euros. However, it is relatively large (45mm), so be careful. (I don't deduct a star for the display since I bought the watch knowing beforehand that it is not very useful)

  Update: After about 3 weeks of use and a few rough hits, I can say that the watch is durable. It is worth its money (up to 120 euros, after that there is the Casio GA-B2100 with Bluetooth and Tough Solar)

  First time G-Shock and second electronic after a Casio from the 90s. Let's say: it is lightweight and comfortable on wrists over 17 cm, beautiful with its octagonal design that stands out from the usual G-Shock, it has all the functions you would want from a watch of its kind (time, date, stopwatch, countdown timer, world time, 5 alarms, etc.) but personally, I would also like a solar panel. It is 20 ATM waterproof and of course, it has protection against shocks and magnetic fields. As a plus, the innovative carbon frame reduces the weight and increases the durability of the watch. As for the negatives: the light is marginally useful, at night only the hour and minute hands glow, and the digital panel is hard to read when there is not enough light. Also, the strap should be softer. Another interesting point is that there are many aftermarket mods available, such as a metal frame and bracelet, etc. For example, search on YouTube for G-Shock GA-2100 mods. Finally, I would like to add that the photos do not do it justice as it is very beautiful and elegant up close. The settings and functions are very simple and easy to learn. I got it for my work and I believe I made a very good choice. I highly recommend it.
