Regardless of the increased pixels, the a7R IV delivers the highest ISO 32000 standard and reduces noise in the low and medium sensitivity range, achieving high-quality images.
This 5.76-million-dot electronic viewfinder reproduces details with approximately 1.6 times higher resolution than the a7R III. Choose high quality "High" for greater accuracy and natural realism, without moiré and jagged edges. The smoother image at 120/100 fps makes it easier to track moving subjects.
Regardless of the exceptional image resolution, the a7R IV maintains a shooting speed of 10 fps with a mechanical shutter (up to 8 fps in continuous live view shooting). Thus, you can capture decisive moments, such as the movement of wild animals, with rich details, thanks only to the high-resolution imaging capability of 61.0 MP.
Advanced autofocus algorithms ensure accuracy in low light levels of EV-3. The diaphragm guide focus priority is intended for more precise focusing in low light and when the lens aperture is small.
Because the size of the buffer memory is 1.5 times larger, the camera maintains burst shooting speed for up to 68 images. With APS-C shooting mode, you capture three times more photos than with full-frame shooting mode.
Real-time AI tracking is a new feature that enhances photography in challenging conditions. Find the subject and press the shutter halfway. Let the camera track it. With face/eye priority in autofocus, the a7R IV seamlessly switches the tracking target between face and eye when photographing people.
The α7R IV supports various options for remote control functions with a computer and data transfer media, such as 5 GHz Wi-Fi. Take advantage of the offered options and the convenience of remote shooting and data backup.
The updated function shifts the sensor by half or one pixel in a programmed sequence for 16 pixel-shifted images that are reconstructed into a high-precision 240.8 MP image from the original 963.2 MP (equivalent) data. Static images such as architecture and art are reproduced with realistic detail, texture, color, atmosphere, setting, and 3D realism, with stunning fidelity.

I'm not a professional but I am an extremely demanding hobbyist and until before this machine I had never been fully satisfied. It is the first time I feel FULLY satisfied. I have the A7R4 "A" which is slightly refreshed with the best monitor and 5Ghz. The machine takes exceptional photos with incredible detail and very good eye AF as well as exceptional subject tracking. Exceptional quality even from the OLED monitor. As a cherry on top, the grip is bigger and now I feel not insecure but confident. No restrictions on 4k video, you can shoot as long as you want and even with Eye AF..!!! For "THIS" money and in "combination" with what it offers, there is nothing better. Exceptional guys...

I have it in my possession for about a month. I come from Sony a7Riii and I thought I wouldn't see any significant differences. But I did see them!!! Initially, it has a larger grip which personally suits me incredibly well because I have big hands. Beyond that, I saw an incredible difference in the camera's autofocus.. we're talking about a significant difference. Especially in eye autofocus, day and night. I mainly have it for studio use due to its high megapixels, but it will also be helpful for weddings in the upcoming season. I consider it the ideal mirrorless body for a professional or enthusiast, but it is quite expensive compared to its predecessor. If someone doesn't consider fast focusing as such an important factor, then they can go for a smaller model.
