Otherwise, the construction is very sturdy (metal frame), it operates smoothly and cuts well without clogging. The battery really lasts a loooong time, you forget to charge it.
I have had it for about a year, I use it 3-4 times a week and so far its performance has not dropped. I hope it will last over time.

Edit: I found and used the "Wahl Professional Clipper Oil 118ml Lubricant for Hair Clippers" and the tractor stopped!The only negative thing I noticed is that in the "Metal Trimmer" attachment it has, there is a small gap in its plastic, where it started to rust from inside... does it need cleaning with an anti-rust solution?

In terms of other aspects, compared to the Series 5000 that I had before, I can say that it is much more sturdy and higher quality, as it has a metal body instead of plastic. This can be a negative aspect in prolonged use as it can tire the hand due to the increased weight. The attachments are the same as the 5000, just that the 7000 has a few more. In terms of shaving, the biggest difference is that due to its stability, it doesn't "shake" at all when in use and it is much quieter than the 5000. I also noticed better precision in shaving, but the difference wasn't that noticeable.
It is definitely worth the money, especially for someone who is interested in battery life and fast charging.

2023-01-03Expert userVery good machine, sturdy waterproof, with much greater autonomy compared to an older Philips one I had, I have had it for almost 1 month, I have used it 4 times and I still haven't charged it, and I believe it will give me many more shaves and trims. It is very easy to clean and has many accessories.
This is the 3rd Philips I have bought, but this one is by far the best in terms of quality and performance, and as a construction (it will of course be evident in practice and in longevity because the other two lasted 3 and 5 years respectively), while the other 2 had icons engraved on the attachment for which attachment goes for which use, this one doesn't have any and you have to refer to the machine's box if you want to do a certain use that you haven't done before with the machine.

Did you find this review helpful?Construction-wise, the machine is very sturdy with no creaking or loose parts. It was particularly powerful during trimming without clogging or losing performance. The battery seems to never want to discharge.
Now, regarding shaving, although it was very good and powerful, the only thing I would have liked was for the shaving attachment to be slightly larger, like a razor. But still, you can confidently do your job, and speaking of confidence, with the attachment for sensitive areas, you really have nothing to fear. Your balls will thank you.
As for cleaning, I didn't bother at all because it is completely waterproof and you can wash it with the showerhead, which has pressure, while using it during your shower.
Overall, the initial impressions are value for money.
Update 22/3/22
With 1 face shave per week, 1 head shave every 3 weeks, and body trimming every 2 weeks, I decided to write about how long the battery lasted after the first charge. The problem is that even after 3 months, the battery still hasn't run out, and its performance doesn't seem to be decreasing. Did you find this review helpful?I have had the machine since the end of September 2020 and I was waiting to write a review when the battery runs out... well, it still hasn't run out! It has been 6 months without charging and I use it for 2 trims and one body shave (low setting) per week. I should note that my hair is not thick, so I don't think it is being put under much strain, but still, the battery life is incredible! It is the only machine I have ever had with such autonomy (compared to Wahl, Babyliss, Panasonic, Mosher).
Great value for money for beard, mustache, and body. You can do haircuts, but if that's your main purpose, it might not be suitable because the head is small (for haircuts, go for a more expensive model that has a wider head and corresponding combs).
The main head is very good, it gives clean lines without any chance of getting cut. It comes with several combs for face, body, and hair trimming, and the other heads are also very good. The shaving head has been very useful to me, it provides a deep clean.
The body head is great, it has a protective cover so you don't have to worry about getting cut in sensitive areas. You can remove the cover, maybe for a deeper clean, but I think it's not necessary.
The machine has a metal casing and looks very high-quality and sturdy. It is washable and, of course, waterproof, so you can use it in the shower without any worries. Just below the head, it has a rubber coating to prevent slipping when in use, which is really necessary and of good quality.
To sum up (I hope I haven't bored you too much), if you want a machine that does what it says at an affordable price (I got it for around 50 euros), then get it with closed eyes!
Oh, and I almost forgot... 5 years manufacturer's warranty!

Did you find this review helpful?One negative aspect (since I used it for body grooming, not facial hair), which is quite significant for me as I mainly bought it for trimming, is that its main trimming head is small. Some more expensive models in the series (e.g. Philips 7000 16-in-1 MG7730/15 & MG7770/15) have a larger, wider head for trimming. I have already ordered this extra larger head, but it doesn't fit with the combs of my machine, so I am now looking to order them separately. There are 4 combs with different cutting lengths and 2 with a tilt for left and right.
I chose the MG7745/15 over the cheaper MG7720/15 only because it is a newer model.
- Updated on 14/10/2020: I purchased the 6 combs from a store in Athens for the larger head I bought. The total cost, including the larger head, exceeds 30€. Now it is 100% complete.
So, if you mainly want it for trimming, I would recommend the model with the extra head and the corresponding combs, as long as the cost doesn't exceed your budget. Otherwise, go for a dedicated trimmer.
- Updated on 15/12/2020: It is also worth it for facial hair.
- May 2021: It starts working on its own! It seems to short circuit something in the on-off button. I pressed the button (with something that fits in that spot) and it's fine now. I take it out when I use it and put it back in when I store it. I don't know if this has happened to others.
- May 2021: It stopped working, it doesn't even charge (I don't know if it's the charger). I took it to an authorized store, and because it's still under warranty (2 years), they will replace it for me. I will update...
- Since yesterday, 29/7/2021, they replaced it (took them a while) with the "MG7720" even though my model was newer and more expensive... And yes, it is made of plastic
