It does not have a whistle when the water has boiled to notify you to close it. However, the main problem is that after 2 months of use, the plastic lid melted and fell off from its base.

I used it at least 2 times daily but I had to change it. Every 2 days I cleaned it with vinegar because it collected a lot of salt and the screw on the handle rusted, which is unacceptable.
