First of all, I must say that I consider Asus to be one of the top companies in the computer industry and I have owned many of their products over the years. It was the first company to offer warranties longer than 1 year for its products and it is generally considered very reliable, even in today's highly competitive market. HOWEVER...

I have never seen such a user-unfriendly BIOS. It does not recognize any storage media (hard drive, USB, DVD writer, etc.) when you first install it. You have to go to the advanced section of the BIOS, to the Boot tab, and to the CSM (Compatibility Support Module) submenu, and disable it. Otherwise, it won't read anything. I had a Patriot SSD, a Toshiba SSD, an LG DVD, and a Kingston USB connected, and it didn't detect anything until I performed the above procedure.

Secondly, regarding the XMP profiles of the memory. It doesn't label them as XMP like the rest of the world, but as DOCP. To find them, you go again to the advanced section, Ai Tweaker, enable it, and then select DOCP. What's up with that, Asus? Oh, and in my memory modules (Corsair 16g 3200), it correctly activated the entire XMP profile and set the Tcp to 76 instead of 54. I noticed it later in Windows and manually adjusted it.

Thirdly, the BIOS that came with my card was version 1005, from August 2019. BIOS versions up to 1404 do not recognize all second-generation AMD processors, specifically the 2xxx series, only the 3xxxx series. So if you have an older processor, you'll need to update the BIOS first from the store where you purchased it. This seems to be the case with all companies, as far as I can tell, which initially released compatibility with third-generation processors and then with second-generation ones.

Lastly, something trivial but perhaps important to some, is that the fan on the southbridge of the motherboard, located at the bottom right and illuminated with LEDs, is hidden by the graphics card because it sits directly above it.

Other than that, it has a multitude of parameters in the BIOS for you to change whatever you want. After all, Asus is renowned for its overclocking capabilities. However, in my humble opinion, it is not aimed at the average or advanced user in any way.

The best choice in x570 if you don't want to spend 200 euros, far superior to msi/gigabyte/asrock in the 150-170 euro range. Very good layout with the only flaw being the position of the chipset fan that will be blocked by a large graphics card, but I believe it's mostly decorative, it works fine for me and it's noiseless (when it's working).

Other than that, construction-wise it's good and I would say the pictures don't do it justice. If it had an integrated io plate it would be superb. Overall, it does what it promises, it obviously worked flawlessly with the 3600 (that was missing) and the positive thing is that it overclocked my 3200 ballistix without any issues, both with xmp and oc to 3600c14.

The bios is user-friendly and easy (classic asus), but in a moment of ultimate stupidity, asus decided that its low/mid-range models in x570 don't need access to spread spectrum (enabled with the staniol) or bclk. So, you should know that you won't have access to these two. Besides these two, another thing that bothered me a bit is the lack of a bios reset switch.

I don't have an opinion on the sound as I play (flawlessly) with a xonar d2x sound card.

Overall, it's an economical solution in x570 that, due to its quality vrms, will support up to 3950.

Edit: Changing to 5 stars because it received a bios update that enabled bclk and spread spectrum (bios 1407)
