Its operation is autonomous, meaning it can function on its own without the need for connection to an oven. This means it can be placed anywhere in the kitchen that suits you best. For any student house for exploitation, it's good but that's about it. If you are used to some branded ceramic Scott ceran Miele etc., this will seem worse than the old enamel ones. The enamel ones took longer to heat up but had great power. This one can't make the water boil. It just reaches a boiling point. Also, in terms of build quality, you feel that if a pot hits a little harder than usual, it will shatter. So personally, I consider it wasted money; get something better.
The stoves take a little while to heat up and there is a slight delay in boiling. However, overall I am satisfied with them for the two months that I have had them. The price is also very good.
The worst purchase I have ever made in my life. The stove has no power at all. It is good for boiling pasta or making soup, but even then it takes a long time. However, for frying, it's out of the question. The heat reaches a certain temperature and then decreases, causing whatever you want to fry to boil instead. The oil never gets hot enough.
