DTS:X/DTS Neural:X Upmixing
DTS:X is the next-generation audio codec from DTS that leverages object-based audio to enable new immersive and interactive audio experiences. Since DTS:X can automatically adapt the sound to existing channels and speaker systems, no specific speaker layout is required. Experience an immersive soundscape with incredibly rich and vivid sound. Other audio codecs, such as PCM and DSD, can be mixed using DTS Neural:X to enjoy three-dimensional surround sound.
Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization
When playing any form of Dolby, enabling the Dolby Atmos height Virtualizer allows for a more immersive listening experience, creating a virtual surround and height effect from traditional speaker layouts without the use of additional surround or height speakers.
DTS Virtual:X
With DTS Virtual:X, you can enjoy a three-dimensional immersive sound similar to DTS:X, without needing height or rear speakers. The technology supports input source from 2 to 7.1.4 channels, for delivery in a speaker layout of 2 to 5.1 channels. DTS Virtual:X works with all DTS codecs, including DTS:X.
Next-generation video template ready
The VSX-534 supports pass-through signals for HDR10, HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma), and Dolby Vision. By connecting a compatible source device, you can enjoy these latest video standards on a compatible display. Additionally, all HDMI terminals support 4K (60p/4:4:4/24-bit), Wide Color Gamut (BT.2020), and HDCP 2.2, so you will have no issues when upgrading to new devices and can also enjoy high-quality content such as 4K video with digital copy protection.
MCACC automatic room calibration
Create the optimal acoustic environment with Pioneer's MCACC (Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration System), developed with the expertise of professional recording studios. With the customized microphone, the system automatically compensates for differences in speaker size, level, and distance, and equalizes the response.

The VSX-534 is equipped with Zone B audio output terminals to extend the sound of the main zone by connecting your wireless headphone base. You can listen to the sound playing in the living room through wireless headphones.

At first, I bought it with fear! It was combined with magnat supreme 2002 in the front, magnat monitor supreme 102 in the back, magnat monitor supreme center 252 as the center, and polk hts 10 as the subwoofer, creating a complete 5.1 home cinema. What can I say, guys, the experience blew me away. The amplifier performs exceptionally well in both movies and music, especially when using Netflix to play movies in Dolby Atmos. You simply start the movie and it automatically recognizes the supported audio format. CAUTION: To ensure automatic recognition, connect it with HDMI (ARC) and pay attention to the audio output option on your TV, making sure it says "pass-through" or whatever is applicable. This allows for the transmission of Dolby Atmos or any other audio format like 5.1 DD+ or DTS. Trust me, get it without hesitation!
I purchased the aforementioned amplifier in April 2020 at a very good price. Initially, I was very happy to have acquired a home cinema amplifier, especially from a top company like Pioneer! I don't have much time available, it's true, and I have played with the amplifier very few times! Today, as I am writing to you in January 2021, after some tricks it played in December, the amplifier stopped working! It doesn't send any image to the TV! Although it looks high-quality and its chassis is impressive, the HDMI input system seems to be very sensitive and not functioning properly! It's incredibly frustrating! I have to send it for service and may God help me!
The amplifier has been repaired and everything is fine. I thank the purchasing company for the excellent service!
It is worth the money and more. Easy to set up and plays equally well with non Dolby Atmos speakers. The lack of Wi-Fi is the only disadvantage, but for this price, it's okay.
I bought the product 3 days ago and before I purchased it, I realized that what this particular machine offers should cost around 500 euros in another brand, so I chose it. I want to inform you that this is the third home cinema system I have bought, so I have quite a bit of experience with digital sound. The result is indescribable, I was expecting it to be very good based on the reviews I read, but it exceeds my expectations. I highly recommend it. There is nothing comparable to it for the same price.
And today, on 05/10/22, I am returning to evaluate the machine over time. A few months after the warranty expired, the machine broke down, it went into safe mode and doesn't respond to any commands, and this happened suddenly. I took it to the authorized service centers of the company, which are terrible, and they told me it's a controller board issue and it can't be fixed. The cost is as much as a brand new amplifier. I was really upset about it. I see in the comments that someone bought it for 210€, I bought it for 269€, and now it costs 480€. No, guys, it's definitely not worth it at this price. Now I have connected my speakers to an old 20-year-old Yamaha that still works perfectly. You might say it doesn't have the latest technology, yes, that's true, but buying something like this for 2.5 years without any dealership support is definitely not a solution, and the price has increased by 200+€.
In the end, it couldn't be fixed anywhere. It was sold for spare parts. Such a shame. Let's go for Sony now and give it a try. Of course, when it comes at the right price
I have had it in my possession for a few days and my conclusions are as follows:
Its sound is excellent even for music, while the set-up is quite easy, simple, and fast. It was purchased as a last-minute solution for the emergency replacement of my old amplifier that broke during the pandemic period (Onkyo TX-SR576 purchased in 2008 for 380 euros).
I chose it because of its low price (around 210 euros), as I couldn't choose something more expensive, but to my surprise, I found that both the volume and the sound quality are definitely worth much more.
Compared to the previous amplifier I had, I can confidently say that the Pioneer excels in sound quality, while its power is definitely the same and gives me the feeling that it may even be a little more.
It lacks in the number of channels, 5.2 compared to 7.1, but personally, this doesn't bother me as my system was already 5.1.
As a disadvantage, I consider the lack of an adequate number of video inputs, as it only has HDMI ports, and only on the back (unfortunately, at this price, we can't have it all). If someone wants to connect a device from a previous generation that outputs a video signal, they will have to buy an adapter.
The presence of Bluetooth is a great convenience for playing songs from your mobile phone.
I don't know its reliability over time, but based on the data I have so far, I consider it an ideal choice, at least for someone who doesn't have more connectivity requirements. Personally, I do not regret my choice and I recommend it as a purchase, taking into account my own needs and requirements.
