Like the previous edition, the new augmented and improved edition has gathered and presents more than 600 psychometric tools that have either been developed - or are in the process of being developed - or have been translated and adapted into the Greek language. The tools are classified into seven thematic sections: clinical psychology and health psychology, social psychology, intelligence and cognitive functions, organizational psychology, personality, counseling psychology and psychotherapy, school psychology. The presentation of each psychometric tool allows the reader to easily identify, in a comparable and contrastive way, the information provided for each test: descriptive information (name, purpose, general description), psychometric characteristics and properties (validity, reliability, sample), bibliographic sources and contact details for the authors. The volume is addressed to all those interested in being informed about the availability and applications of psychometric tools in the Greek area: (1) psychology students and all cognitive subjects dealing with humans and using assessment methods; (2) those who use the tests in their clinical work, administering a variety of psychometric tests to children, adolescents, and adults; (3) Greek researchers, providing a basis for selecting research psychometric tools and serving as a stimulus for their active involvement and collaboration in the construction and adaptation of other tools; (4) psychological test developers and the entire academic community, offering substantial information on existing initiatives for the translation and standardization of psychometric tools in the Greek area. A collection aimed at contributing not only to the better application of psychometry in Greece but also to increasing awareness and interdisciplinary communication around the topic of psychometric tests in the broader Greek scientific field.
