Really useless. Its range is 1.5-2 meters with new batteries. It has all the functions of TCL with relatively quiet buttons, but when the range is so small, it renders the TV useless and only the remote control remains, considering that the average viewing distance is 2.5-3 meters. I will have to buy another one.

I gave it only 4 stars for its range, as it is somewhat shorter than the range of the genuine TCL/THOMPSON!!
It functions with all the actions that the genuine one does... it just doesn't have a NETFLIX button for direct access like the genuine one... but you can still access it through the viewing options. This convenience is not the only thing it lacks, just so you know if you buy it.
So it is worth its money and definitely yes, get it at least as a backup, like I did!!
