I bought these shoes for hiking. Initially, it was my mistake to get size 41 1/3, as I usually wear size 41 in Nike, resulting in them being tight for me. So, I had them stretched and now they fit me well. However, they require a good tightening to prevent the foot from hitting the front on downhill terrain.
They were tested in heavy rain (2+ hours) during hiking trips twice. The first time, they became soaked, but I realized that it was the pants' fault for not being waterproof, causing my sock to get wet and gradually allowing water to enter the shoe. The second time, again in heavy rain but with better pants, not a single drop passed into the shoe. Also, they do not easily slip despite the conditions they were tested in.
Therefore, I am very satisfied, especially considering their price. The only thing you need to be careful about is their narrow fit, and you will probably need half/a size larger than your usual size.

I wear a size 40 but my feet generally swell and I got the 41 1/2, I didn't realize it was so big, it's perfect! I would like a little better support on the joints. Otherwise, it doesn't slip anywhere! Its insole is very anatomical and definitely waterproof!

I took a 15-day trip to Iceland, going around the island and walking on the most rugged, wettest, iciest, snowiest, dirtiest, rockiest terrains. I deliberately tried to make them slip somewhere, hurt me, or twist my ankle, but I couldn't. After a while, it became funny how stable and dependable these shoes are. I stepped in rivers, got mercilessly rained on, but not a drop passed through to my feet. I hiked for a maximum distance of about 5 kilometers in a day, and my feet never complained. I don't know what else to say to convince you, except that now that I've tried them, I would buy them even at twice the price. Just make sure to pay attention to the size, go one size up, and they will be perfect.

Did you find this review helpful?First of all, I should mention that the shoes I use are worn almost daily with 12 - 13 hours of work per day (car sales), (8 km of walking daily), winter - summer and with several moments where I push them to their limits...!
So far, I had been satisfied for years with the leather Nike T-lite, but since they are not 100% waterproof, I chose among others this specific Adidas (which I bought, with many doubts...).
The first impression was very good as when you open the box you feel a very high quality product with all the details well taken care of (especially in the lacing and seams...). On the first day they were very comfortable on the foot, they did not tire my knees, I did not feel uncomfortable on the sole or elsewhere, they are not ''heavy'' to walk in and stand for hours (something I did not expect especially for a hiking shoe!). I was also impressed that they have a very strong and stable grip on all surfaces (something that does not apply to sports shoes, for example, they slip relatively easily) and as for waterproofing or their behavior in bad weather, I will only say that, I was all day in severe bad weather in ''flooded waters, rain etc (at work and on the road) and not a drop passed through (!) the socks were dry at home (!).
There may be a slight normal smell but you can't have it all!Since my experience is limited to almost 10 days of use, I only hope they will withstand over time!
