I bought 2 pieces and put them in the common fence to protect/deter the neighbor's kittens that were coming into my space and I have dogs. It worked very well, excellent device. It has angle and range adjustment for water shooting.
Adjustable coverage distance of the PIR sensor. The water spraying distance is also adjustable through the vertical angle of projection, which is not mentioned in the user manual, minimum 3-4 meters, maximum 9-10 meters. The adjustment is made as shown in the attached photo.
I am looking forward to seeing how effective it is in deterring cats and how durable it is in use....
EDIT 4.12.2021. After a month of use, I can now confidently say that it is not suitable for cats. Due to their size, there is no chance of activating the sensor. This, for me, means wasted money.....
It is the ONLY product that can free you from unwanted cats. Anything else you try will fail. It requires proper adjustment, and within a few weeks, no cat will step into the controlled area since they learn and do not approach.
As mentioned below, it needs proper range adjustment. If you find the right one for your space, it works just fine. Now the cats, after they ate it 1 or 2 times, just seeing it makes them run away.
I have been using it for 3 days and it works very well. I got it to keep the neighborhood cats away that constantly dirty my garden and it does the job. You need to dedicate a little time to set it up, but it is effective. I didn't give it 5 stars because the plastic stake that secures it to the ground is small and doesn't stabilize it completely. Overall, it is a very good purchase and I believe that this way I will be saved from the cat's mess.
It is not activated by cats due to their small size. The sensor broke after about 1 year.
Gentlemen, this machine is perfect, I have been using it for months and it works flawlessly. My neighbor has 15 cats that constantly pass through my balcony, digging up my flower beds and causing damage. Since I installed it, none of them have passed through. All those who have negative reviews probably just didn't bother to adjust the sensitivity of the machine. You can't have it at nine, you have to set it to five or six and it works perfectly!!! I was saved!!!
I have it for 2 months and it does the job! The cats learned it and they don't approach the area protected by the device.
It must be securely fastened and checked for leaks, especially if the water network pressure is high.
