Tooth design.

A variable design of 4-6 teeth per inch with a 10° angle provides the following advantages:

• Faster and more aggressive cutting.
• Improved heat dissipation during cutting ensures that the teeth remain sharp for a longer time.
• Deeper curved recesses provide more efficient chip removal, preventing binding and heat accumulation.
• Special tooth shape angle has less tendency to bind in thin materials.
• Teeth are staggered alternately on each side to minimize potential binding and friction.
• Requires less feed pressure.

The serrated surface of the hole saw is made from premium quality Matrix II high-speed steel. Matrix II steel contains 8% cobalt, allowing the teeth to maintain their original hardness even at high working temperatures in metal cutting applications.

Bi-metal construction – High-speed steel teeth welded to a low-alloy steel body. The teeth are hardened in a vacuum to 65 HRC at a temperature of 600°C to provide maximum strength and longevity.

Due to the high wear resistance of Matrix II steel, these hole saws are ideal for cutting tough and hard materials such as stainless steel and acid-resistant steels as well as softer materials like wood.

The base of the hole saw is made of thick steel, ensuring that the holes do not elongate during use. The thick base adds strength and stability, minimizing vibrations.
