The hood only provides protection from the sun, and maybe a little bit from the rain, as long as it doesn't blow at all. It is incredibly thin, almost like cling film. It literally tore in two places where I touched it with my finger. Also, the photo is wrong and should be changed because it is misleading. It shows the product with pockets for mirrors, but it doesn't have them, and I specifically bought it for that reason!!! The only reason I didn't return it is because it is very cheap and not worth the hassle. If you don't tie it with a string like a spider catching flies, the wind will take it immediately because the elastic is a joke. Even a miserable €5 one I bought from a supermarket was better and much sturdier, and it had straps with clips. Personally, I would only recommend it to those who have a car in a closed garage, so they can cover it for dust. It's good up to that point. Of course, I didn't expect to get a quality product for this money. If it lasts through the summer, I will be satisfied.
