The mouse glides with minimal force, covering a large portion of the desk so that you can have both the mouse and the keyboard on it.
In conclusion, it is worth it without a second thought. One warning, when you want to wash it, do not use hot water because the seams will soften, causing the edges to tear. Warm water with dish soap will do the job or in the washing machine as the manual that comes with it says.

Nice matte color (the logo is not even visible) and it has a very nice feel. The best mousepad I have ever used. So much so that when I first used it, I thought about ordering another one to have as a backup in case something happens to this one and I can't find it again. It is huge, measuring 120x60x3, so it might take up the entire desk for some people. The build quality is amazing, the material seems durable, and it has nice subtle stitching on the edges, not thick and bulky like others. The surface is not textured, yet the mouse doesn't slip as if it's going to escape your control, but it is just right, providing the necessary control and speed. You can play FPS, RTS, and all their subgenres without any problem, just as easily.
Tested with Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum.
