I bought it for gaming on PC, specifically PUBG, and I also connected my 2.1 Dolby surround speakers. I also have the HyperX Cloud 2, and of course, it provides EVEN MORE POWER AND QUALITY in both speakers and headphones. For my friend who plays PUBG (Dimitris_Tambakakis), I want to mention that I downloaded Sound Blaster Connect 2 because at least for me, that's where I found settings that allow me to control the 5.1 from the 7.1, which confuses me a lot with headphones... it has many more settings that I need to experiment with, especially with Discord and the sound... if the guy wants to talk and exchange opinions, come to Discord johnspithas #9611
The card was not recognized by the computer at first. This was due to the faulty cable that came in its packaging. I had to replace its cable with one of my own for it to be recognized by the system. If you read online, you will see that others have had connectivity issues for various reasons. The sound it produces, once it works, is very good in combination with good speakers or headphones.
It greatly improved my sound. At one point, out of nowhere, it was no longer recognized, but mysteriously fixed itself. Maybe from a Windows Update.
Seeing so many positive reviews, I decided to buy it.
I bought it for the PUBG FPS game, and personally, I was not satisfied at all for the reasons that it has such a loud sound that you have to lower the volume, which again makes you lose the low sounds, and it also distorted the sound for me.
If someone has looked into it more deeply, please leave a review to help me and any other friend who faced the same problem.
I forgot to mention that my headphones are Hyper Cloud II
I thank the friends whose reviews helped me decide. It elevated the speakers of the computer (2.1) and the headset in terms of both volume and quality. It's like day and night compared to the motherboard's card. A fair purchase with excellent results.
EXCELLENT!!! Connecting the Crystal Audio soundbar and playing a bit with the settings through the sound card's software, the sound in games and music skyrocketed to another level! Much clearer, much more crystalline, much stronger bass and clearer highs! It's like I'm in a studio! For those considering it... DON'T THINK ABOUT IT! It's worth every penny and more!
I have had the Edifier G7000 RGB soundbar for a long time and I didn't know it could play so well. As soon as I connected it, the sound completely changed. It's a pleasure to play games and listen to music.
Connectivity issues that many people mention, I don't have them. I have it for gaming and a little bit of music. The sound has a big difference, especially in volume. The 5.1 and 7.1 with the effects are not that great for me. It distorts the sound a lot and it doesn't sit well with my ear. But even in stereo mode, the sound is crystal clear. I had the Asus Strix Soar, but they never released drivers update for Windows 11, so I had to change it.
"Chills"... !! That's what I felt when I heard the first notes of a song that I had listened to 2 days ago without the card... Let me clarify: 1. I only listen to music, preferably lossless! 2. My 2.1 system is desktop speakers and a sub connected to a hi-end level amplifier, BUT purchased at an incredible second-hand price! 3. The card was connected via the provided micro USB cable to the laptop and the output is a good quality stereo RCA plug to the amplifier (so the card acts as a DAC). 3. The improvement was, as everyone says, in the highs, but it also gave air to the entire sound spectrum, so the sound became Crystal Clear! 4. I don't play games, etc., so the rating is based on the personal use I make of it! I apologize, but I will leave you since I will play my favorite songs again! Thank you
I'm amazed by the sound quality and of course the volume on Razer headphones and speakers that I use. The only downside is the plastic of the device. I expected aluminum because of the money it asks for. The software has many options and ready-made profiles depending on what you want to hear. It will take me a long time to process its functions and create my own profiles. My conclusion is that sound cards have nothing to do with the sound cards of motherboards and I found this out with this particular purchase. Also, I should mention that it will greatly help those who are into FPS games. ;-)
Worst connectivity. The sound quality is terrible. It was mainly used for fps games. Unfortunately, the software is problematic and the disconnections are constant. Every time I open Discord or a game, even when alt-tabbing sometimes, the card disconnects or freezes and requires reconnection. Many similar issues on many forums. It's a matter of luck whether it will work properly or be useless. I tried everything from troubleshooting, even updating the BIOS, but nothing. The only thing that helped was not having the software at all, which completely defeats the purpose, as everything is controlled from there. 100 euros wasted.
The card does not have direct outputs for 5.1 or 7.1 systems, it is virtual. If you don't buy it for this purpose, it is very good.
The sound card is very good but I give it two stars and I have a reason!!!! So, while it has a very clear, powerful, and high-quality sound, it is only for headphones and a two-channel system if you have a good AV receiver that can provide you with 5 or 7 independent channels, you won't be able to use them with this specific card as it does not support decoding. Therefore, if you have a good system with an amplifier and 5.1 speakers and you want to watch a movie or get multiple independent channels from a game, it becomes useless!!! Just for this reason, I wouldn't spend money to buy it if I knew. Feel free to get it if you only have two good speakers or good headphones, you will be amazed at how well the sound plays!!! That's all from me, thank you!!!!
The truth is that I messed up because I had good self-amplifying speakers and the difference was small.
But I believe that on regular speakers or headphones, it will show its teeth.
I won't give it a low rating because it's my own mistake and because I truly believe it deserves it.
14/4 I stumbled and stepped on it and it broke a bit because it was on the floor, as my speakers are far away, and it still plays as if nothing happened
I have had it for about a year now, mainly for music use. I connected the console to the card, the card to the desktop computer, and then back to the Logitech 5.1 speakers with a subwoofer through the aux port. You have no idea the result. The increase in sound, both in volume and quality, is about 60%, as when I switch sources and exit the card, the sound is completely low. It helped me, without spending much money, to give depth to a sound that was flatter before. Some say that the card is only for video games, but that is not accurate. It works for music and semi-professional recording as well. It's like having a good amplifier, here it's just built into the card, hence the equalizer.
The card is good, but I didn't see any huge difference compared to the G1 that I have. For the money it costs, I don't recommend it. It's too expensive, around 50-60 euros.
My card came with a faulty connection cable, which bothered me until I figured out what was wrong, which is why I give it 2 stars. This is not justified for a product that costs 130 Euros. Yes, it improves the sound by 20% to 30%, I would say, but what matters is the good speakers. In my opinion, investing in good speakers comes first, and then the sound card is an extra.
I don't need to say much, just take it with closed eyes. Many words are poverty compared to this product, especially for 100 euros that I bought it here 2 months ago!!! The few negatives are just for the sake of having something to say, it's like having a Ferrari and not liking the cup holder hahaha.
I have the Edifier S351DB and the Sennheiser HD 569.
Enjoy your listening!
The product is of high quality, like all creative products. The sound on the Logitech Z533 speakers has definitely improved, but only to a certain extent! It doesn't work miracles. I mean, don't expect a bad set of speakers to make it hi-fi! It enhances the sound at all levels and makes it full, with proper bass and depth. For the 100€ I spent, I achieved an improvement in the sound on my PC, and that's why I believe it's worth it! So, if you have a good set of speakers and want to improve your sound, get it without hesitation! If not, invest first in good speakers and then in a sound card!
I use the card purely for gaming on the PS5, mainly for Warzone. Before, with the HyperX Cloud 2 on the PS5, I couldn't hear the footsteps clearly, so I decided to buy a sound card instead of headphones because a sound card is an investment. The build quality is very good and it looks beautiful with an RGB logo that you can change through the software, and it is compact in size. It enhances the resolution of the headphones, especially in the highs, when listening to music. It is worth its price, although it is a bit expensive, but in life, you get what you pay for. I highly recommend it!
The card is worth its money. I use it for my home cinema 7.1 with Win10. The sound is excellent! One thing bothered me though... you can't control the volume from the computer when using the optical fiber. The volume is dead... I have to use the amplifier's remote control to adjust it. (Unless I'm doing something wrong)
Very good choice on my part. A sound card is quite useful for a PC. Personally, I prefer to get a sound card rather than speakers.
- It doesn't break as easily as speakers.
- Much cleaner sound
The card is the best thing out there for the 99 I got it, I can't believe my ears. The headphones finally relieved me and the volume and quality of the speakers are now on another level.
The card is fantastic .. I have it since the first days of release with flawless sound ... downside on Windows 7 it doesn't play at 384khz sample rate but up to 192khz 24 bit resolution whoever has a 10 out of 10 sound. 17/4/24 the card plays continuously until today no problem always in DIRECT MODE for flat sound ... always with the latest software upgrade from the company .... we will see how long it will last from the capacitors side hahaha ... it is in 24-hour operation in the studio ....
I had interference/noise on the microphone, so I decided to upgrade to this dac. In combination with the Sennheiser game 1, it is more than enough for movies, music, and gaming is on another level. I would especially recommend it if the headphones have high impedance. There are many reviews on YouTube that describe its capabilities very well. A small note, it has an annoying delay in the playback of the microphone (with June 2020 software) for anyone interested.
Very good!!!!! The sound is amazing. It really raises the bar. You should now pay more attention to the audiovisual aspect, rather than performance such as FPS (frames per second). I bought the sound card with a new monitor and audio technica ws1100is headphones. Incredible results. Go for it, you will not regret it
