Single route cable, good build quality, pay attention to what you want to connect FROM WHERE and TO WHERE.
IT ONLY WORKS FROM DISPLAYPORT SOURCE (PC/laptop GPU) TO MONITOR with HDMI 2.0 input!!!
IF YOU TRY IT THE OTHER WAY AROUND - FROM HDMI of the PC/laptop graphics card TO DISPLAYPORT input of the MONITOR, IT WON'T WORK!!!
For example, if you try to connect a console to a monitor with displayport to take advantage of high refresh rates... you're out of luck.
(sorry for the capitals, but I found out the practical way, so it's good to know what route the cable serves)
other than that... for the first connection scenario - it is VERY GOOD QUALITY, very stable in connection and supports any resolution you want up to HDMI 2.0 (4k/60 hz)
It should be clear in the product description that it is a one-way cable!!!
Meaning, the input is Display Port and the output is HDMI.....it doesn't work the other way around
Terrible, it didn't work on my ThinkPad for connection with Samsung curved, better buy a simple HDMI. If Skroutz recommends it to you, don't buy it because an IT person told me that 80% of the time it doesn't work.
this is a unidirectional cable, the image must be transmitted from dp to HDMI is not suitable for any laptop and is not suitable for monitors above 144hz
Construction-wise, the quality of the cable is very good and, although my requirements were small (1080p, 60Hz), it worked properly.
The 2 stars, however, are because it is a very poor choice for those who work with high-contrast dark backgrounds.
It has a system (probably to cover any internal converter noise, if it has one) which, when the displayed image is (almost) all black, fully darkens the screen.
The behavior can be observed in the video:
Every time the screen is almost all black (e.g. when I press F11 to go full-screen with the almost black image), everything automatically turns black. The flickers are caused by the powertoys' find my mouse, which for a few milliseconds make the screen gray when highlighting the cursor.
I have already tried using the same cable on another monitor, in another port, and with another device, with exactly the same results.
Up to 120hz screens guys, those of you who have screens with more hz, use the ones that the company provides you with the screen!
This specific cable is EXCELLENT, doing exactly what it CLEARLY states in its description. And I will repeat, it converts FROM displayport 1.2 which as a version supports UP TO 4k resolution at 60hz, TO/TO hdmi 2.0 which also supports as a version up to 4k60hz. Now, some people who do not know the basics think that the cable does not work well somewhere or that something is not explained correctly in the product's description. I have a 1080p monitor at 75hz and at the same time a connected TV at 4k60hz so that I can switch between them whenever I want. In this price range, FEW support 4k!
AVOID IF YOU HAVE SCREENS ABOVE 120hz!!!
The cable supports up to 120hz. Those of you who have a monitor with higher refresh rate, do not make the purchase. The description should have stated that it only goes up to 120hz, so that people like me who bought 2 for nothing wouldn't be fooled... Nevertheless, it works fine for refresh rates below 120hz.
Very good quality in picture and sound, I haven't encountered any problems so far, I have bought 3.
I have it for about a year and a half, connected to an LG ultrawide monitor to achieve the 75Hz. The DP goes into the graphics card and the HDMI into the monitor, not the other way around! It works perfectly without any issues and the cable quality is very good, thick and braided. It's perfect for the price.
If someone notices the fact that it works from DP to HDMI and not the other way around, then they won't have any problem at all. I use it to connect my laptop to a 4K monitor (DP) in order to display content on a 4K TV (HDMI).
While with a simple hdmi to hdmi cable the hdr on the screen works perfectly, with this cable it doesn't even activate. Other than that, it does its job.
The cable works perfectly and ultimately a simple DVI adapter was needed in my case. I recommend anyone with a more recent motherboard that only accepts display port and HDMI to do the same. Besides the confusion, mine is fast and efficient
Flawless in all aspects with very good quality!!!
You connect the dp and hdmi to the graphics card on the television....
Attention! It doesn't work the other way around.
Good, high-quality cable, works without any disconnections. Just be careful to make the connection correctly between the graphics card and the monitor. Because many people get confused, the cable should be connected to the graphics card in the display port and end in the HDMI port on the monitor. Not the other way around, as it won't work.
I, for one, use it to connect an RX 5600 XT (display port) to an LG 21' monitor at 75hz (hdmi) and I have no issues.
It did its job. Ideal for those who want dual monitors but their computer does not have two VGA or HDMI ports, but has a displayport like mine
I connected it (very easy, plug and play) and the screen played much better than the HDMI. The cable is perfect. I was impressed by its construction.
The ultimate value for money in its category. Tested image and sound. 4k, 1080p, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master, DD+
Apart from the fact that it is one-way, meaning it can only be connected to the computer through DP and not HDMI on the screen, it does not support more than 120Hz. I wasted my money for nothing...almost. I wanted the cable for my main monitor to connect my second one (TV) through HDMI. Now I have to use this cable for the TV and HDMI for my main monitor
Very good image and sound, the cable is very durable. Attention, it only works with input display port and output HDMI
Excellent but be careful as you will see in another review these cables are one-way, meaning they will work if the input is the display port and the output is HDMI or for easier connection the Display port is connected to the computer or game console, the HDMI to the monitor or TV
It is not a product issue logically, but it was not working for connecting HDMI output of a computer to a display port monitor.
