• Lactobacillus acidophilus, the first genus of probiotic bacteria certified with beneficial action in diarrhea and constipation, as well as in the prevention and reduction of antibiotic-associated diarrhea.
• Lactobacillus salivarius is naturally present in the intestine and oral cavity, and aids in the digestion of proteins and carbohydrates, including lactose. 
• Lactobacillus Rhamnosus is essential for the gastrointestinal tract but also balances the immune system.
• The bifidobacterium (Bifidobacterium Bifidum sp.) is a beneficial bacterium of the large intestine, producing short-chain amino acids, thus creating a slightly acidic environment, unfavorable for the growth of pathogenic bacteria. 
• Additionally, these amino acids are the main energy source for the cells of the inner surface of the colon (colonocytes). Bifidobacterium also produces B-complex vitamins and the acids lactic and acetic, which further lower the pH of the large intestine.
• Streptococcus thermophilus produces the enzyme lactase and can prevent lactose intolerance. It prevents constipation, may help with irritable bowel syndrome, urinary tract infections, and peptic ulcers.
