Boya BY M1DM.
The BY M1DM by Boya is a dual lapel microphone, suitable for recording video on smartphones and DSLR cameras. Thanks to its cable length of up to 4 meters, you have great freedom of movement. The special feature of the BY-M1DM is that it is suitable for both smartphones and cameras. Switching between these two functions is done with a special control button. When using the BY M1DM with a camera, it is powered by an LR44 battery. Along with the microphone, a 3.5mm to 6.3mm plug adapter is provided, allowing you to connect the BY-M1DM to more professional cameras and camcorders.
How to Use the BY M1DM.
With the BY M1DM, you can record interviews with two people simultaneously. The recording is done on two separate channels (L / R), allowing you to adjust the sound level directly during the recording stage. Given the wide range of uses you can have with this microphone (i.e., on cameras and smartphones) and the low costs, the BY M1DM is offered as a solution for both the beginner and the more advanced videographer. Both microphones come with a tie clip and a windscreen. The set is delivered in a convenient storage case.

I put it on my tablet to do an outdoor interview with two people, so the microphone is excellent ... even the chainsaw that a neighbor next door used and was hurting our ears during the interview was recorded perfectly for my show!
You plug it into the port of your mobile or tablet and it plays directly when you open the program for your video, no adjustment needed, it's that simple! It's worth it, get it
The sound recording does not have a stable volume, even though it should since it is hooked in the same position on my neckline constantly. Not only that, but my voice sounds sometimes thin, sometimes thick. The recording on my mobile phone's microphone is a thousand times better. It's not worth the trouble to return it, because it's not expensive, but I could have spent the money on souvlaki and have the same result (recording voice on my phone)
If I could give a negative rating, I would gladly do so. The most useless thing I have ever bought. It records with a terrible noise like a fly buzzing in your ear. It's better to spend a little more and buy a decent microphone. I will never approach Boya again. I bought 2, one with a fly and one with a double fly. Both were completely unsuitable for recording. The worst choice I have made in years. Stay away from Boya, guys.
Apart from everything you will read here, I want to add something that was bothering me and others!
For someone who still uses a camera and had a problem with external microphones,
these 2 boyas saved me from the nightmare I had with the boom!
By putting them on the camera and working with power, the problem disappeared!
The sound is very good and loud, but the main thing is that the annoying noise is also eliminated in a Panasonic camera!
Some will understand what I'm saying, and it's serious!
I didn't have the chance to make any great use of it. Because it has quite long cables and you have it inside a narrow bag, the cables started to lose contact and I can't use it anymore. I barely used it twice. What a shame.
It has now become an essential component of my mobile phone for the videos I will make on my channel. Excellent quality construction and very good performance. I recommend it for its price.
Well guys, the microphone is VERY good. It requires HUGE attention because there are several fake (monkey) Boya microphones, especially if you buy directly from China. It goes without saying that genuine Boya microphones have a scratch authenticity tape with a code that you verify on the company's official website. My main fear (for this type of microphone) was whether they have a dull sound. Fortunately, as soon as I tried them (I record on a computer), I found out that they have a SCRATCHED, very good and balanced sound at the right volume. Very satisfied with the purchase. Now, if you shoot videos on a mobile phone and want simultaneous recording, it requires a little attention and several tests. In the official Video Recorder application on Samsung A8 2018, when you shoot a video, they capture the sound normally. But not on Xiaomi mobile phones (meaning you shoot a video and the 2 Boya microphones are as if they are not connected). In any case, you can easily and very qualitatively record just the sound with the application (android): "Easy Voice Recorder", which, after tests, records the best sound, on both mobile phone brands that I tried (Samsung & Xiaomi). In this case, of course, you need 2 mobile phones (one for video and one for sound).
Practical, but its sound is terrible! It's like having a pillow in front of your mouth, exaggerated lows, absence of high frequencies. I use professional ones like sehnheiser, akg, and I can responsibly say that it has inferior sound even compared to a cheap Chinese one that costs 9 euros.
