Excellent sound quality with Sound Boost
A key feature of the Gigaset DL580 is its excellent sound quality. Thanks to the adjustable volume and sound amplification function, the device allows you to converse comfortably - regardless of any special needs you may have for louder sound. Additionally, it has a hands-free function with adjustable volume.
Loud Ringtone & Ideal Call Signal
The ringtone volume can be adjusted to 7 different levels and an illuminated indicator on the front of the device flashes to notify the user of an incoming call.
Illuminated, large screen with clear indications
Observing the screen is very easy thanks to its large size and strong backlight. Additionally, the ability to adjust the contrast to 3 different levels ensures that the indications as well as names or phone numbers are readable and clear.
Ergonomic keyboard
The large keys with the precision of pressure points offered by the high-quality keyboard make your calls easier than ever. The ergonomic layout of the keyboard facilitates dialing numbers as well as various settings during the call. Additionally, on the 4 programmable keys (A-D), you can store the most important contacts you want to call, simply by pressing a button. The "A" key is marked in red to store a particularly important number and therefore find it immediately in case of an emergency.

It has a loud noise when you lift the receiver (and in another review I saw that a friend had the same issue), which practically doesn't allow you to have conversations and makes the phone completely useless. It's a shame because it seemed to be of good quality but unfortunately in practice it's a waste of money.
When I needed to buy a telephone device, I thought of Gigaset as a quality solution. Before completing the two years of operation and fortunately within the warranty, the phone has been returned to the service 4 times. Three of them for intense buzzing during the conversation that was heard by both me and the interlocutor, and once because the screen did not turn on. Now that it has just returned from the service, I am waiting to see how long it will work without any problems.
The device has large keys, it has a built-in power supply and does not take batteries. When you plug in the transformer, the screen lights up continuously (I find it tiring to have the screen constantly lit up). The language is in German and can be changed by pressing ok menu and then using the arrow keys to find SPRACHE, pressing ok menu again, and then using the arrow keys to select Greek. The downside is that it does not have Greek characters in the contact names. However, it has a very powerful sound in the earpiece and ringtone. As for the LED that lights up at the bottom, it only lights up for incoming calls, it does not flash like I'm used to with another Gigaset. The screen is large and clear. As for the A, B, C, D buttons, when you enter a number and press, for example, A, it calls directly in speakerphone mode. The boost + button on the earpiece makes the sound very loud.
Very good phone but the screen light does not work and it does not ring at all when it is on battery. Unfortunately, it needs to be constantly connected to the power outlet in order for the screen to turn on and the ringing sound to work when someone calls. Also, when the power is cut off, the date and time are lost and I have to set them again from the beginning. Since the contacts are not lost due to the battery, I don't know why the date has to be lost and reset to January 1st.
I have a hearing problem and I bought it taking into account buyer reviews. However, it did not prove satisfactory. Neither the sound intensity in conversation nor the adjustment of it (intensity).
However, it is more satisfactory than a Panasonic I bought, which was praised by reviews for people with hearing problems.
In general, a very good phone, with a nice illuminated large screen and good sound. The only problem I face is that the phonebook gets erased at regular intervals and I need to enter the phone numbers I need from scratch.
The device is nice and of good quality, however it has one disadvantage. Personally, I bought it for an elderly person who wears hearing aids, but although it has a Greek menu, it does not have Greek letters. Therefore, when entering a name in the phonebook, it has to be in Greeklish, which creates problems for older people because they do not understand it. So, the company should mention that it only has Latin characters. That's why I give it this rating because I generally don't think it's worth 60 euros.
You add an illuminated screen, you add an illuminated notification line, why don't you add illuminated buttons as well? We are looking for a decent landline phone with an illuminated keyboard and there is nothing available. In the previous model with the Proximity Sensor, they were illuminated, so why not here? That's why it gets 4 stars.
Other than that, it has the most powerful sound in both the speaker and the headset for a landline phone, with an additional button for Volume Boost!
Excellent analog landline telephone with powerful sound and ringing, handset, large buttons, large illuminated screen (power supply included) with large clear letters that greatly helps those of us who wear glasses, speaker. I believe it is worth giving something extra and getting it.
