First of all, the case does not fit perfectly on the phone. It does not have openings for the button positions. Instead, it has covers for both the side buttons and the charging and headphone ports. The covers for the side buttons (on/off, volume) are not in the correct position, resulting in not being able to apply the correct pressure on the button and not being able to easily operate the phone.
As for protection, it is indeed armor, it also has a metal frame that embraces the silicone casing (which is quite hard).
If it wasn't for the issue with the side buttons, it would be very good.
