Description

The study of music, both vocal and instrumental, should be based on a solid foundation of solfege teaching, consistently from a young age.

Among the many musical works that are published, some quickly surpass the initial steps and the child, seeing many new things in a very short period of time, soon becomes lost in a labyrinth of technical difficulties. While others include many exercises without interest or musical value, so that the taste and sensitivity of the student, their musicality, cannot awaken and mature.

The experience gained from our many years of teaching has led us to the belief that in order to approach a work of this kind to perfection, it must satisfy the following two basic conditions:

Methodical examination of the musical symbols of the text and slow and progressive understanding of them, in such a way that every difficulty is clarified and overcome before the next step.
Aesthetic concern for the composition or selection of the lessons; anything the student is called to sing must be "musical" or even better, "musically good".

Thanks to the careful attention of the first books, the transcription of pieces by the best classical composers of different eras and styles, and finally the addition of original lessons that several of our distinguished colleagues wanted to write, we hope that this work will fulfill our purpose: to educate true musicians, amateurs and professionals, who understand and practice with great pleasure in the richness of this universal language of sounds that "makes man better".
