2023-09-09Expert userIndeed there is a difference in the performance of the car. And the check engine light is gone. And at this price, it is worth it especially if you have several vehicles in the family. It dries on its own, you don't need to wipe it with a cloth or anything. Of course, if the problems persist, unfortunately, you have to buy a new MAF sensor (Mass Air Flow). For example, I cleaned my MAF in my BMW E60 2005. Indeed, the check engine light went away, but after 3 weeks, I had issues with the idle and the light came back on. After I replaced the entire sensor with a genuine replacement (cost me around 200 euros in my case), the car took a breath and I haven't seen the check engine light for 4 months. If you have a faulty MAF, you should know that the car's error codes may show you other problems such as Lean/Rich air/fuel mixture or Catalytic Converter Efficiency and others that arise from the MAF as the source. Because the sensor reads how much air the intake is getting and sends the signal to the brain. So the issue is purely electronic, but the car cannot often tell you that the problem is directly the MAF, and many people waste money on wrong replacements.

Did you find this review helpful?I bought it for a Toyota Yaris '00, it confused and stalled when I "asked" it, at high RPMs and very low ones. My mechanics were telling me all sorts of things (catalytic converters, lambda sensors, etc.) but they didn't convince me... I decided to clean the MAF, chose this specific product, and the little Toyota came back to life. It did its job exceptionally well, so if you want to clean the mass airflow sensor (and it really is the culprit), don't hesitate to buy it, you will see a difference.

It didn't seem normal to me, so after doing some research, I concluded that I needed to clean the mass air flow sensor. I removed the sensor, which was covered in dirt, sprayed it with cleaner, and all the dirt came off. I let it dry for 15 minutes and then tested the idle RPMs with a warm engine. I couldn't believe it, I had solved my problem! The engine was consistently at 600 RPMs, no more fluctuations! I highly recommend it.
