I hadn't tried the XB10000 (older model), but this is a "beast." It's not far from the truth to say that the power needed to bring its weight to shore is almost the same as that needed to bring in a 1.5kg bass... It doesn't feel anything. I didn't choose the XB10000 because it was a much older model and would probably be replaced. Of course, the XC14000 has the disadvantage that it requires 350m of 0.40mm line (as if I were fishing in the Atlantic)... In about 6 months, I will "turn" the line "back and forth" and it will last at least 1 year with the initial filling. I would describe its weight as normal for serious surfcasting. As for its quality, it shows in every detail. It's no coincidence that the only "reels" of mine that survive & work properly from purchases 7-10 years ago are only Shimano...

You always have to rotate it a bit more for it to open completely, resulting in it blocking the shot afterwards. A problem that I don't have even with a Chinese one for €20. The crank has play in both that I have bought and is very plasticky. I do not recommend them for any reason
