Purchased as an economical choice until the "regular" home extractor is repaired. It sucks but makes noise on the second setting. However, it is not bad. The build quality and lighting are average.
As an extractor unfortunately it doesn't say much, there is a huge difference between the first, second and third level. The first level makes almost no noise, but the second and third level make you feel like you're on an airplane takeoff. I don't know, maybe with a little more money I would have looked for a better extractor!
It doesn't make much noise if applied properly, it is almost silent. It requires a little attention in the connection with the ventilation ducts. In terms of absorption, it is quite good and efficient.
In our case, the main source of noise was mainly from the vibrations of the exhaust fan and not so much from the suction mechanism (which, to some extent, will make noise). We noticed that there are no anti-vibration elements in the construction (special gaskets, special balancing rods, or 'nerves' on the sheet metal surfaces). It is a simple rectangular sheet metal box in which a suction mechanism sits, with the vibrations not being dampened, so they can create resonance and noise.
We experimented a bit with air stops at strategic points (e.g. at the junction with the pipe, between the detachable filters, on the external front sheet metal) and the noise was significantly reduced. It takes a little effort to deal with the noise issue and conduct experiments.
However, I consider it to be honest for its price.
