At the heart of the design are 2 high-performance Eclipse ET-DB2 transformers, providing performance from 20Hz to 20kHz with less than 1.5dB deviation above 18kHz and capable of withstanding huge signal levels without distortion. Unlike active circuits that burden the signal when exceeding voltage, the transformers saturate. This creates a pleasant effect that naturally "rounds off" the sound, acting as a subtle limiter, which is particularly beneficial when connecting the ProD2 with digital pianos, samplers, and drum machines that can produce excessive dynamics, while simultaneously eliminating hum and noise.
