The raised front minimizes the risk of getting caught on an obstacle and possibly tripping. It has good ventilation and dries quickly (holes both on the upper part and on the sole).
Pay attention to the size: I ordered them in #47 (I wear 47 1/3) and they are too big.
Probably size #46 corresponds to the correct size.
