I have had it for a year now, very durable and excellent for speaking. I believe it could also be used for podcasts and of course for streaming as it provides a very clear voice. It comes bare without a base and without a cable. I highly recommend it!
One of the best microphones for its price, works perfectly with the Go Xlr from Elgato. Although heavy as a microphone (2kg) and a 10 euro stand can really support it, it is one of the best purchases I have made
Exclusively for speech and podcasts, not for vocals. It has sensitivity to plosives, so it needs a pop filter. Since I couldn't find a decent pop filter for the podmic on the market, I decided to make a 3D printed DIY one, and with the pop filter, it is more than excellent.
It is an amazing microphone for speaking.
It is not suitable for studio voice recording because although it has specifications from 20Hz to 20Khz, in reality, it doesn't perform as such... It seems to lack harmonics in the very low and high frequencies. You can see this immediately with an analyzer...
If you try to record vocals for a song, the voice is completely out of place in the mix... If you get close for volume, you get a lot of proximity effect, and if you move away, the voice becomes very narrow (in terms of dynamics).. Even with a pop filter, you can't use it for recording songs... In a live setting where I tried it, I would say I was thrilled with the clarity it had and the fullness it produced in my voice... The voice definitely stood out amidst the chaos of the orchestra... It didn't buzz in the bass or whistle in the highs... I would say it's a sound engineer's delight. I recommend it for speaking (obviously also for radio stations) but also for live singing. I'm always speaking from my own opinion and taste... I hope I helped... Health to everyone!!!
