BOSS AW-2 Auto Wah

Rare and collectible pedal.

The AW-2 replaced the TW-1 in 1991. In addition to the regular Auto Wah effect, it also features a modulation effect that periodically changes the sound. This makes the variations many and it is known to be quite difficult to adjust the sound of the AW-2.

• RATE: Adjusts the amount of modulation. Turn off the modulation by setting the RATE to the minimum.
• DEPTH: Adjusts the extent of the modulation effect. At the minimum position, the modulation will be off and the intensity of the wah will be controlled by the strength of the touch.
• MANUAL: Adjusts the frequency at which the modulation Wah effect is activated.
• SENS: Adjusts the sensitivity of the wah. High sensitivity means that a wah effect is produced with a gentle touch.

There are no known changes between the AW-2s manufactured in 1991 and those manufactured at the end of their production in 1999.
