It loses 1 star because a bit of the cork broke off on the side, but that happened after 3 months of literally daily use and travel. They are worth the money. I exclusively wear these.
This is the 2nd shoe I am buying for my wife. The 1st was 6 years ago and she has been incredibly comfortable in the summers. The price remains at the same levels.
I preferred a smaller size and I didn't regret it as they have a comfortable fit. Since the day I wore them, I haven't worn any other shoes! They are the most convenient and comfortable!
At first, I was very put off by the feeling of the anatomical insole, but as time went on, I preferred it over my other shoes. However, during my first long walk, due to the material of the insole, I got a blister on the arch of my foot. The adjustable straps make them fit perfectly and I have no problem using them while driving.
I bought them last year as I saw good reviews... so I took them with me on vacation in Patmos... the worst! Waste of money! My feet were incredibly painful, my soles were swollen, and I couldn't walk! They made me suffer on my vacation, really. I wonder about all the good reviews they write... to make my soles swell for days and not enjoy my vacation at all, as I could barely walk... never again. There are cheaper or equally priced options that are much more reliable.
Beautiful and comfortable shoe. For those who are unsure about the size, I would suggest finding the size guide on Birkenstock's official website. Keep in mind that the company recommends having a little space both in the front and back of the foot.
The shoe quickly takes the shape of the foot, which makes it comfortable.
I recommend wearing it gradually, a little more each day, as wearing it for many hours from the beginning may cause the foot to hit certain areas.
Years user of birkenstock, I have all the designs of the company, after these all my other shoes seem like wood.
For me, the size is exactly my size, I wear 41 and I get 41 in regular fit.
The mayari for my foot is the ideal design. The Arizona, Madrid, Yara are okay but nothing like the mayari in terms of grip and comfort.
If you get the authentic leather and pay it in gold, it will be hard, synthetic leather is better as it is softer.
The black color, which is classic, I wear it out and get it every 2 years since it has an affordable price around 50.
The others that stand out, I get them in different designs for variety, not for everyday use
The best shoes ever! At first, if you haven't worn Birkenstock before, they feel very strange and unfamiliar, but once the first week passes, they are fantastic.
Beautiful design. It has a wide fit. My sister, who has very narrow feet, was floating inside the shoe. I bought it in my regular size. I wear a size 40 and occasionally a 41. I got it in size 40. When I first wore them, there was a gap of 2.3 inches at the back of the heel and I was thinking of exchanging them for a size smaller. However, I didn't end up exchanging them and luckily, when I wore them a few times, they molded to the shape of my foot better and the gap was no longer there.
The size is normal. They are very comfortable and cozy!!! It is the best and highest quality purchase I have made at this price!!!!
I wore them almost all summer, very comfortable and convenient, no wear and tear. I don't understand the negative comments. Maybe you should try them before you buy
I have them for four years and wear them every day all summer long! They haven't suffered anything yet. Super comfortable.
Very comfortable and convenient for walking. They hold the foot very securely and adjust properly with the straps.
I have very wide feet, so I wear shoes from size 39 to 41 and a half. Since everyone recommended a smaller size, I got size 39 to be safe. In the end, it's a little big in the heel, but in terms of width, it fits perfectly without squeezing my foot. It's a very comfortable shoe, but it needs to be worn for a week to soften up and take the shape of the foot
I have been wearing them for many years both indoors and outdoors, because their texture matches perfectly with my problematic feet. In recent years, their durability has decreased. M, K
Beautiful and ergonomic shoe. I went down 1 size and it is still quite "comfortable". Next time I would try them on somewhere to get the right size.
At first, they are hard, but once you walk in them 4-5 times, they adapt to your foot and you don't want to take them off.
I buy birkenstock every year, but this is the first time for mayari. The strap on the big toe bothers me internally. I can't wear them for long like the other birkenstock models.
Good but not for so much money. It doesn't have a size 36. The size 37 leaves a big gap behind, the size 36 is borderline narrow... it has an issue with sizes, it should also offer half sizes. This is something I often hear from many people.
Other than that, once you get used to them after a week, they are comfortable, relaxing... but in terms of sizes... of course, in stores they always say that there should always be a gap in front of the toes and also behind the heel... I don't have any options, either I go for the bigger size or the too narrow one.
Okay, whatever we say is not enough.
Flawless.
More beautiful than the classic flip-flops (giseh).
They are durable.
They do not slip.
They are comfortable.
Anatomical.
Your feet will never hurt.
Birkenstock guarantee.
I am pasting my review for the Gizeh, the purchase of which opened my eyes and I subsequently bought the Mayari:
"Why 5 stars? Because I have a bad knee and wearing them for five consecutive days on vacation, I didn't complain at all... as soon as I came back and put on another ordinary shoe, I immediately noticed the difference and ordered two pairs of Birkenstock. Look past the appearance... they won't look bulky once you get used to them and you can literally wear them with anything. Is it strange and uncomfortable on the foot at first? Yes, it is... but it's not the shoe's fault... it's our old shoes that we wear and have gotten used to, causing great harm to our feet without realizing it. Give them time, with continuous wear, to train your lazy and spoiled foot, and then they will become essential to you."
P.S: I have high arches and wide feet... prefer the regular feet if you're not sure, and not the narrow feet (read the description on the website).
They look very nice, quality and comfortable. It will show over time and with walking how long they will last. I wear a size 37.5-38 and I got the size 37 based on the comments and it is just right
I read comments about flat feet and I will say the following. I have the opposite issue, meaning very high arches. And in this problem, they help, to be honest, they saved me. With simple sandals that do not support the arch, the foot lands unevenly and weight falls on the metatarsal. With Birkenstock, the foot comes exactly where it should and I can walk 10km without pain. It is a shoe that takes the shape of the foot and helps both healthy feet and most conditions. Additionally, it is an excellent construction with durable materials. I have been wearing them for 2 years with daily use during the summer months, I wear them out from walking, I take care of them of course, and they are like new. Honestly, the best thing one can buy with 50-60€.
The first 4-5 days were the most uncomfortable I have ever worn. However, after getting used to them, they proved to be amazing. The best slippers I have ever worn. I have had them for 10 days and have not encountered any problems so far.
Excellent construction and fit. I was skeptical and afraid that I would be like a German tourist, but now I simply don't wear anything else all day! They are worth every €
Πάρα πολύ άνετα! Τα λεπτά λουράκια τα κάνουν πιο κομψά σε σχέση με το κλασικό φαρδύ σχέδιο της Birkenstock.
Because I have a problem with my arch (I have a very low arch), my foot hurt the first few days because I made the mistake of wearing them for many hours. Then I learned that the first few times you wear them for a short period of time so that the foot can adjust. Now, after 10 days, I wear them comfortably for many hours and they put my foot in its place. Very good! I recommend them to those who especially have an issue.
It's perfect!
- Very comfortable! The first few days they are hard and my feet hurt, but after a few uses, the sandal takes the shape of the foot and is very comfortable to walk in and helps with proper body posture.
- They don't slip and even though they are "slipper style," the foot doesn't come out of the sandal.
- Although I had doubts before buying them, they are definitely worth their money and I would buy them again!
Very good, classic birks, beautiful in appearance, perfect for walking. The first few times they may hurt the feet a little, but it's until the foot mold is created. They help with proper body posture, they are non-slip. I recommend them!
