The screen lighting is automatically activated when you turn your wrist towards your face, it activates when the lighting is low or there is darkness, and it deactivates automatically when the light is sufficient.

What I wanted was a watch that would be easy to read, that wouldn't lose a second, that I wouldn't have to worry about the battery or charging, and that I could see at night.
World times, lap times, stopwatches, etc. (which it has) don't interest me. That's what mobile phones are for!
This particular watch meets all of the above, except for one thing. The date is not as easy to read for someone with presbyopia like me. It could be a little bigger.
However, it doesn't lose a second, as it synchronizes with the mobile phone (which in turn synchronizes with the world time), it doesn't need charging, as it charges with light (and in winter, its exposure to light is enough to not run out of battery), and it is visible at night, as its hands glow in the dark and it also has a backlight.
I shouldn't forget, with another button, you can find your mobile phone with an audible notification.
Very good and sturdy. There is a difficulty for those who have presbyopia to see the date and day. The battery that charges with light is excellent, but in the winter if it is covered by the sleeve, it has an issue and you have to take it off to get light and charge.

Purchased in March 2021 for 200 euros... it is a smart and durable watch, but at the same time not really... meaning that if you compare it to modern smartwatches, you could classify it as a hybrid. It has Bluetooth, which synchronizes the time with your phone, so you don't have to worry about it being a few minutes behind or changing for daylight saving time. All of this is done automatically thanks to Bluetooth. It also has the option to find your phone, like all modern smartwatches do. However, it doesn't have any other smart functions, even though it could because of Bluetooth. A major advantage is that it charges from solar power, so you don't need to change the battery or worry about the watchmaker not sealing it correctly and damaging it when it gets wet.
In terms of durability, the watch case is made of steel and is resistant to scratches, but the bracelet easily gets scratched.
Overall, you will be very satisfied if you know why you want it. Don't be fooled by the Bluetooth, yes, it has its benefits, but ultimately, I believe the most useful feature is that it charges from solar power and the time synchronization with your phone. Knowing the time in different cities around the world is something that ultimately doesn't matter.
After a year and a half of use, as of December 17, 2022, everything I have already mentioned still holds true. It is a decent watch for its price. Just be careful not to wear it to work because the case gets easily scratched.
When the battery level reaches 50%, the light and Bluetooth are turned off to save battery. At first, I thought it was broken :)... As soon as you expose it to sunlight, it recognizes that it's in the sun and automatically charges quickly in about 2 hours
The best watch I have ever used. Incredibly waterproof, it doesn't scratch at all, extremely resistant to falls and impacts. The solar battery is worth every penny, and in case its level has dropped (due to long storage), within a few minutes inside a glass of water (thermal protection) under the sun, it has charged 100%.

Just be careful, it doesn't have snooze like the stores say. It's wrong.
Also, before you buy it, listen to the alarm's volume if it suits you. It's lower than Casio's digital ones.

I have had it for 7 months and I bought it for 225€. It synchronizes the time three times a day through the Edifice app on my phone without draining its battery.
I was pleasantly surprised by its durability against impacts, as it has been hit several times (due to work) on metal surfaces, and it has also had hot glue dropped on it, but it hasn't scratched at all!
The illumination at night is extremely beautiful and readable, and the solar battery ensures its uninterrupted operation for many years.
I have the turquoise shade and I consider it very original and beautiful, although it is completely subjective and a matter of personal taste.
Value for money at this price (193€) for anyone who buys it.
Sturdy but a bit heavy. It has not been tested in falls, but the protruding glass of the "frame" suggests possible scratches. Easy to handle, with many capabilities. It does not limit dressing and is quite presentable. Pay attention to its price. It often has significant price fluctuations.
Returning to the review after almost 1 year (8/17/20):
1. Tested in saltwater and pool with excellent results.
2. Regarding scratches, unfortunately my fears were confirmed, but to a minimal extent. After use without any restrictions, I acquired an imperceptible scratch that is only visible from a specific angle.
3. Incredible battery.
Tip: If you wear it while sleeping, do not activate the automatic lighting as it can be bothersome.
Overall, I am very satisfied!
A very good, sturdy, and high-quality watch from the Casio series! Solar system to change the battery every 10 years... connects to the phone and adjusts the time accurately! It also has over 300 hours worldwide! It has a stopwatch, alarm clock, countdown timer... automatic illumination in the dark, etc... for its price, it easily competes with many expensive watches!
