  I have it for about two months. My laptop has only 2 USB ports and I always had the mouse connected to one, while an external sound card was permanently connected to the other, so the use of a USB hub was more than necessary. This particular hub literally saved my life. I have permanently connected the mouse, a cooling pad for the laptop, and a network card to it, so there is still one port free for any use. It works perfectly without any problems. The only thing I have to criticize is that sometimes the computer does not recognize, for example, the hard drive or the flash drive when I try to connect it for file transfer, so I have to disconnect the USB hub (only that - not the rest) and connect it again. By doing this, then it recognizes them normally. As for the cable, okay, you might say it's short, but for me, who is always in an office, it doesn't bother me at all. Its construction is quality and sturdy, you will not have any problems with it at all. I remove one star due to the occasional problem I mentioned above. Otherwise, it is fine (for now).

  I give it 5 stars because it does its job perfectly. I don't know what else to say about the product, it works great with the 3 devices I have, and indeed it has 3.0 ports. Maybe the cable could be an issue for some, and just to clarify, it's around 10 to 15 centimeters long

  It keeps disconnecting every 5-6 minutes no matter what I connect to the hub!!! The mouse becomes annoying, especially with USB sticks, when I copy from/to the disk, after the disconnection I have to start the copy process all over again!! I wouldn't recommend it!!!

  I bought the NOD Metal Hub 4.3 for two reasons. Firstly, because my desktop computer has a small and cheap ASRock motherboard. It only has 4 USB 2.0 ports, or 6 if you connect an expansion with 2 additional USB ports. If you know how to find such a cable-adapter and how to install it on a motherboard.

  Secondly, because after about 2 years of use, my previous USB HUB, Powertech PT-705, completely broke.

  The NOD Metal Hub 4.3 is quite convenient. It has the USB 3.0 ports placed parallel, unlike some competing products, notably the more reliable TP-Link.

  Currently, I have 4 out of 4 devices connected to it:

  1) External mechanical hard drive. 1 TB Seagate.
  2) A dongle for Xbox 360 game controller. Esperanza EGG12K. I have my own review on skroutz.gr.
  3) A small Bluetooth receiver. LogiLink USB Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter (BT0037). I have my own review on skroutz.gr.
  4) An old gamepad Acme Ga - 05.

  Its cable is quite short, only 15 centimeters. So, when I connect it to a USB 2.0 port, it hangs in the air, which may bother some people. I don't have a big problem with it, I'm used to it.

  I emphasize here that it is not Type C to USB. It is the old type, USB-A. It has an LED indicator.

  The NOD Metal Hub 4.3 is a beautiful product. It clearly appears to be more solidly built compared to my previous USB HUB, Powertech PT-705.

  The black aluminum of the NOD Metal Hub 4.3 gives it a different vibe! If it breaks in the future, I will update this review immediately, just like I did for the Powertech PT-705 when it broke.

  What impressed me is that the NOD Metal Hub 4.3 has a 2-year warranty, according to its packaging.

  Pros:

  • Good build quality. Made of aluminum.
  • It has 4 USB 3.0 ports.
  • It has a 2-year warranty.
  • The USB ports are placed parallel, which is convenient for me.
  • It has an LED indicator.

  Cons:

  • The connection cable is relatively short.

  It worked fine for a few days, but then it stopped working if you put more than 2 things on it.
  I returned it and got a cheaper one with a longer cable and an on/off button plus more ports. I don't know how long it will last, but it has remained functional for longer than this specific one.

  Today I received this specific product.
  I tested it while having a mouse, speakers (Creative Pebble V2), an 8-year-old TURBO X cooler, and my phone (charging and simultaneously accessing saved files) and EVERYTHING was working FINE, without the need for additional power support!
  Regarding the quality for its price, it is satisfactory, although I cannot yet form an opinion (I will make an additional comment in two months if I remember!).

  The unique thing about this hub is the micro USB input for extra power supply, while others have extra power supply but not micro USB. This way, one can connect a power bank and connect an external hard drive, their phone, and an SD card reader to transfer files from their camera without a laptop!

  Unfortunately, after more than a year of use, it cannot handle 2 external hard drives simultaneously, even though I have connected an external power source. It can handle a disk, a USB stick, a keyboard, etc., but not 2 disks together! So be careful if you plan to use it for such purposes.
