Purchased for the baby's first foods. The initial thought was to save money. Less electricity consumption compared to a classic kitchen stove. Plus, I would have to buy a blender since we would start with purees. So, I invested in this 'gadget' (as I call it).
It does exactly what it promises, with tremendous success!!
It is used 2 to 3 times a day. For fruits in the morning and food at noon. The cooking times suggested in the user manual differ slightly. That is, it says for potatoes 15', but it takes about 20'. Of course, the quantity you are cooking also plays a role.
Attention!! It is not for all foods. You won't boil trahanas or rice or lentils, but you can boil the chicken that will accompany the trahanas, for example.
I am very satisfied because I can cook very quickly and easily, healthy meals for my little one.
I have also made countless meals in the evening for myself, when I relax and want to grab something quickly. Usually, I boil potatoes and make a salad.
Comments like 'it needs cleaning, I don't save time because it needs descaling' etc., don't bother me. I have a dishwasher, yet I choose to wash the child's utensils by hand, even if they are dishwasher safe. As for the salt issue, the kettle also needs cleaning, and the steam iron does too. Don't we clean those? Everything is easier when cleaned regularly.
The only downside I would add is that it has a small capacity. There is another device of similar price that has a much larger capacity and you can cook for two days. I don't prefer it because I want my child to eat different flavors every day. However, when I boil meat, I boil it alone and make portions storing them in the fridge or freezer. I am optimistic and believe I will use it later, e.g., as a blender. In any case, the €133 were worth it, and I would buy it again 100%.
(+) I have been very satisfied with the way of cooking, even though I had not used something similar before. The timer is very convenient, so you don't have to be over a pot. It is important that it also has a blender. Healthy steam cooking, ideal for babies starting solid food.
(-) Apart from the classic soap, cleaning needs to be done frequently and is elaborate. Unfortunately, I neglected descaling, resulting in after 3 months of daily use having food and mold smells. I returned it to the dealership for replacement, but they did not just do a minimal cleaning, leaving a note that I should clean and descale it weekly. I got it to save time because of the baby and ended up saving nothing.
Easy to use, very easy to clean, very lightweight and takes up little space. Quiet in steam mode, noisy in blender mode but expected, smooth puree. The durability, as I read in other comments, remains to be seen.
I was torn between the Philips Avent steamer and the Tommee Tippee and ultimately ended up with the latter based on reviews. Unfortunately, I regretted it. It worked fine for both functions (steaming and blending) for about two months and suddenly it stopped blending (without me having the small container attached, of course). Specifically, it makes the noise of blending but the blade doesn't spin. The worst part is that I haven't been able to contact the company for a week now. I won't give it 1 star because it could be a defective product, but for the nonexistent after-sales service.
I bought it in May, started using it in September, and within three months, with twice a week usage, the bin broke in several places. The store where I bought it says it's normal wear and tear and not covered by warranty... stay away
It cooks vegetables quickly and grinds them perfectly! With meat, you may need to grind it a second time! It is very easy to use!!! The only downside I would give is that you cannot put a large amount of food to freeze. The container for vegetables is exactly for one serving.
If I could give it 10 stars, I would!
It's better than I could imagine.
We haven't tried cooking meat yet, but I imagine it will cook just as nicely in more time. Of course, if anything changes, I will come back.
I was watching another steam cooker that cooks them in steam, then you take out the container and put it in the blender.
Here it doesn't have that. You cook everything in the big container and in the same program you put the blender. Essentially, I throw in the vegetables/fruits and get ready-made puree.
The small container is probably for the meat that has a different preparation time.
It doesn't have unnecessary buttons to confuse you, depending on how you put the lid, it opens the corresponding program (cooking in the small container or in the big one + blender).
It cleans easily and quickly. It was exactly what I was looking for
First of all, the user manuals of all tommee tippee products are available in Greek here...

The steamer cooks well, but since I cook food every day and now that the baby is 9 months old and eats a lot, I have to use it about 4 times to make the quantity I want because you can put up to 200 ml. You have to put everything in cubes to cook properly.
If you put them directly in the large container, there is no need to stir as the blades rotate on their own periodically during cooking.
If you put them in the small container, you have to open and stir the meat every ten minutes because it sticks together and may not cook evenly.
Its blending is fantastic! Of course, at the beginning, you have to open it once and remove the pieces that fly off the walls, but the final result is velvety! The maximum time you can set is 2 minutes, but personally, when it has beef inside, I put it a little longer.
The gray lid of the container has "stained" in some areas from the blending and I don't know why.
Also, the box does not say BPA free, but the company claims that it is.
Finally, it is very easy to clean and does not take up much space in the kitchen.
I do not regret buying it at all and the money I spent!!
I hope I helped!
I bought it a month ago. I searched extensively for this specific purchase. I found it on sale for €120. Because it took them a while to deliver it to me (about a week), the company gave me a series of baby bottles and spoons as a gesture of goodwill, which I appreciated. The machine boils and purees very well. It doesn't have a large capacity. It is relatively easy to clean. The cord is not very long. Personally, I am satisfied. It does not sterilize nor maintain stable temperatures for milk, etc.
I have been using the product for 3.5 months! I am very satisfied as a working mother, as it allows me to cook my child's food and grind it in minimal time, while doing other things at the same time. Within 30 minutes, I have cooked my little one's meal with the beef and other vegetables. As for cleanliness, I descale it once a week in 10 minutes, having rinsed the device to reuse it safely after vinegar. Two days ago, a problem arose with the rotor that grinds the food. I contacted the company from which I purchased it, they asked me to send the device back to them FREE OF CHARGE for inspection, and the next working day they informed me that there was indeed a problem and they will send me a new device without any cost from me. Therefore, I am very satisfied with the service from this particular store and I am eagerly awaiting my long-awaited time-saving solution!!! Absolutely satisfied!!!!
The best in its category. Incredibly useful. I have cooked literally everything. I defrost proteins, vegetables, etc. in small quantities. I have been using it since the introduction of baby food and it has been working from morning until night for 17 months now. I have taken it with me on vacations and it has been a lifesaver
I bought it after recommendations that it would be very useful and facilitate food preparation. At first, I was thrilled with the fruit cream, as it makes a smooth puree out of any fruit (I had covered the whole kitchen with the blender and still found small pieces in the puree). However, I was disappointed with the vegetable soup and beef, as the baby wouldn't eat it at all. So, I tried boiling the same ingredients in a small pot and the truth is that it objectively became tastier, and the baby devoured it (and I made many attempts with steam). So now I only use it for grinding, which it does exceptionally well, and I regret spending the money I did. On the other hand, it is easy to clean, slim, and doesn't take up space in the kitchen. The process with meat is that it needs to be cut into small pieces (just like the vegetables), boiled on its own in the special small container, and stirred every 10 minutes, as the instructions say, so the automatic boiling-grinding program is not useful when adding meat. The instructions are in English and not detailed, but there are YouTube videos in English and overall it is a user-friendly device. The indicative cooking times mentioned (15 minutes for vegetables and 20 minutes for beef) are probably for Northern Europe, they seemed completely undercooked to me. In conclusion, personally, the necessity of buying a food processor no longer convinces me, but if you consider such a machine useful, this one does a good job, both in preparation and grinding.
After much research, I ended up buying this steamer for my baby. It may be a bit expensive (I bought it for 119€), but it's worth the money as it is very easy to use (especially if you have a baby who fusses all day and limited time to prepare their meals)! It creates a velvety texture for the puree that you truly envy. It cleans quickly and you don't need to dirty pots and blenders as you do everything in one container. A very good purchase that I did not regret for a minute
Value for money. It is a wonderful machine with 2 containers. The first one is for small quantities during the initial stage of introduction, and the second container prepares meals up to 900 ml. You can program the cooking and blending time, so you can cook meat for up to 30 minutes. It makes beef delicious and creates perfect velvety puree in 15 minutes. It is quite easy to clean, but it requires frequent descaling with white vinegar to avoid displaying the E01 indicator. However, I also used it for fruits and it was excellent. I recommend it compared to other baby food machines; it is by far the best. As for the blender, it is quieter and more powerful compared to Avent, Beaba, and Agu, which my friends have. Truly a high-quality product
It's perfect! Its only drawback is that the inner "pot", apart from the large jug, has a small capacity, resulting in the need to divide each portion so that it cooks properly, especially if you have a picky child. Otherwise, flawless in every way!
Amazing! Easy to use and clean, it makes creams velvety, fast, and strong. The direct melting of food is awesome, you turn around after a while and the cream is ready.
Much better than the highly advertised Avent. It has the ability to handle small pieces, not just creamy textures. It is incredibly easy to clean. The LCD screen is very helpful. You put the food for cooking, and it purees it ready for the baby. We would highly recommend it. The only downside (if it could have one) is that it is quite loud, but even that is due to the powerful blender it has. It will free up your hands and you will enjoy it.
Wonderful! Huge convenience and completely healthy! Perfect and fast cooking, perfect and very powerful blender, easy cleaning because the blade comes out of the jug. Easy to use. It solves your hands!!! It should only have instructions in Greek!!!
Excellent! We had an Avent for a long time, which was also very good. HOWEVER, this one does everything that the Avent does and more. You can program the cooking time and at the same time when the grinding will start. All functions can be programmed. The result is that you save time, as you don't have to wait on the device to finish cooking, close it, and manually start grinding again! Of course, you are also given the option to do it manually, but programming the functions is a great convenience.
