An award-winning cartoonist joins forces with an award-winning psychologist to introduce readers to the complex and often entertaining world of psychology.
Psychology is the study of human behavior. It is a serious and valuable endeavor that has provided us with scientific insights into how our minds perceive the world. Yet, as cartoonist Grady Klein and psychologist Danny Oppenheimer point out, the study of human experience can often be truly entertaining. After all, it is the field that brought to light drooling dogs, nibbling rats, and "Freudian slips." With detailed observations on perception, stress, emotions, cognitive function, and more, this book offers students and curious readers an entertaining guide to the ways our brains navigate incredibly complex environments while simultaneously deceiving us in fascinating ways.
An easy-to-use, understandable, and at the same time entertaining guide to the fascinating universe of the science of psychology.

As an adaptation of a comic on the subject of psychology, it failed in my opinion. The text is heavy with obscure words, filled with the theory of psychology on topics such as memory, learning, etc., which are not as interesting as social psychology, behavior, and psychopathology. It lacks examples in people and only explains the theory as an academic book.
